    Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to redirect all post in a category to an external link in wordpress?
    Just like a doorway page.

are you using permalinks that look like /category/category-name/post-name ?

If you are you can just add this to your .htaccess ahead of the other rewrites:

    Code:
    RewriteRule ^category/category_name/(.+) http://yourexternaldomain.com [R,L]
    RewriteRule ^category-name/(.+) http://yourexternaldomain.com [R,L]

If you have some type of other link structure post a few here from that category and I'm sure we can come up with a rewrite to do what you need.

    Hope that helps!

    My permalinks is /%category%/%postname%/
so I''ll give it a try.

I have 2 newb questions first as I dont know much about the .htaccess and how it works with the SE's
    1. Will the search engine's still crawl the category or do they follow the external link?
    2. And the pages that are already indexed in the category will this effect them in the serps?

    Thanks
