Redemption Fee -100 dollars?

Hi guys,
I bought a domain on godaddy four years ago, and I forgot the domain renewal one month ago, but when I decided to renew the domain, I needed to pay 100 dollars for the redemption fee. That's incredible.
Can I buy my domain on other sites with low prices now?
Thanks for any advice.

Technically, you have to either pay the fee or wait for the domain to be fully expired,
Most probably would be sold within auctions, or caught by some drop-catching service if it holds any value (link profile or/and name)

If your domain is still in redemption, you must pay GoDaddy; otherwise, wait for it to fully expire and drop, but there's a risk someone else might grab it.
 
transfer all your domains from godaddy to another place, I hope you learned your lesson

I guess the name is good, and I didn't build any website with that domain, cuz I registered that domain in 2021

Okay, got it. Would you mind recommending a great website to hold that domain?
 
You can not renew from other registrars once it expired.

Here is your choice

1. Pay the redemption fee to GoDaddy and renew it.
2. Wait for the domain to fully expire and be released by your register so you can register it again.

Note: If your domain is a catchy, short name, keyword-rich, Have good DA then it is good to pay redemption as other people might register the domain before you get chance to own it again.
