Reddit mass removing comment links today?

I been spamming reddit to hell with google redirect links on a huge scale I just let it run with my own custom software just to test the limit and probaly dropped a couple hundrd links and it seems like lots of people are clicking on them to actually go to the landing page. surprisingly none were removed after a few hours yet if i had done this with normal domains theyd be gone by now. How ironic is that google domain is the spam loophole lol you guys better hop on this loophole before it closes

I have a theory that the AI training google is using on reddit gives preferential treatment to upvoted comments for what tehy view as the best consensus or facts so its in their interest to have those removed automatically. and that goes for ANY upvoted comments whether commercial, political, or satire. they dont want their AI to get manipulated results. ironically the downvoted would be manipulated too but i think they aren't gonna remove those automatically
 
In summary we have at least a few ways to bypass any or future filter reddit thinks they can do:
Google redirects
Twitter redirects
Non clickable links just the domain name as text only
internal subreddit posts or comment links (these work right now despite what some others said earlier)
youtube video redirects (link in video description)
facebook and quora i think would look too suspicious as an outside link for the average user with a commercial use

Very interesting workaround. Can I double-check with you - are those new Google re-direct links you have started spamming in the last 1 -3 days? Or are they historic Google links you posted before this clampdown?

The fact that they are getting clicks is hilarious! Keen to see if the comments stick or are removed. Is the entire URL visible for those Google redirect links in your comments or are you shortening it?

Ive never posted google links before till now. Im not modifying the links at all. These google links have been around sine googels inception. There is like 200 different google domainiterations you can use once you throw in country code and maps or whatever iteration you can think of lol

Ive seen one or 2 for a long time drop spam links to youutbe videos where his link is in the description. i would say youtube is probably one of the worst ideas cause i doubt many will click on a youtube link and if they do once they see its a video most will click off one they see a description.

ive seen a few use twitter and i think would do better then a youtube link. not sure how likely your to get nuked using twitter on twitter itself though but on reddit part it would be safe at least

non clickable links will have poor conversion im debating on whether thats a better idea then twitter cause twitter you have to depend on twitter but how many are gonna click on a link on twitter but on the flipside how many are gonna type the url in the browser? with most people on mobile these days twitter might be a better idea then a non clickable text mention

google redirect is my idea (im a creative person and the first to think of this one lol) and the most hilarious

I think this was an update were they tried to remove the spam comments.
 
I know facebook has cracked down on spam by "following" where the redirections goes.

So that makes me wonder for those who do facebook spamming

does facebook allow you to twitter/youtub/google redirect spam no problems? and what about comments with no clickable link just it as a text form? Im curious toknow how facebook deals with it cause they are th most stringent. if we know the worst case in facebook that would prepare us for future changes in reddit worst case

yeah it seems liek itw as a 4 day update (took 4 days for them to complete) where they went back and overhauled each and every comment with a new filter. cause i think it took 4 days before my comments stopped getting removed. not sure any have been removed in last few hours that were done awhile ago.

But these redirects still don't work with upvotes, correct?

You're able to just get the link to stick with no upvote, on old posts, yes?

If you use a virtual account, comments may disappear due to Facebook scanning
 
I gave an example google redirect link on the previous page. I didn't upvote them. if this was non google links they would have been removed already

. I also did a bunch of huge upvotes on comments with no links last night and they are still up today many hours later but i can't confirm if upvoting works or not since they may use a different way to check or block that and maybe later on they will be removed for upvoting so the jury is out on upvoting.

Are those upvoted comments on new or old posts?

Everything I used to do still works on newer posts. Upvoting, links, etc.

I cannot get any upvoted comment to stick, link or unlinked, on a post older than 1 month UNLESS it's a fresh username that never used a link before. If I use freshly warmed up account, then it sticks for about ~6 to 18 hours and gets removed if I upvoted. Only one comment made it past 24 hours and then was removed shortly after that.

The only exception is I have some really good accounts with karma and age that seem to not be impacted (too paranoid to post again on those because I want the previous links to stay haha).

I also noticed if I got a comment removed on an account after commenting a link on an old post, that user is shadowbanned from that thread (at least for links, need to test if it's the entire subreddit or what). I CAN still place links on other subreddits for the 6 to 18 hours again. But again, it seems you're shadowbanned from that post forever.
 
has anyone tried upvoting comments without links or with links like 24 or more hours ago? I did it maybe 8 to 10 hours ago and they are still up but it cuold take awhile for them to be registered by the algorithm culd even take 2 to 4 days maybe to catch ause im sure counting the upvotes is more complex and may take longer for them to react so we wont know for awhile if its safe to upvote unless someone did it awhile ago as a test?
 
fresh usernames wont work either so i think your mistaken on that

why dont you try a damn comment without upvoting first isntead of doubling downa nd continuing to upvote all your comments ?

I didn't try upvoting them cause my first goal was to see if i cuold even get the link passed.

I did seperate upvoting on non link comments maybe 10 hours ago and they are all up i did a few but like mentioned i suspect the upvoting algorithm is more complex and could take longer to show effect BUT i didnt have a link so maybe thats why they are still up

Because my comments without links and upvoting are fine.

And those comments are useless without upvotes or links, so that's why I am testing that variation. Edit: to be clear, I'm testing these independently. Either a link and no upvotes. Or no link and upvotes. Both fail after ~6 to 18 hours.

And by "fresh" I mean I have 3 month old accounts, verified, warmed up, 50 to 200 karma. So not brand new. But fresh in terms of they haven't been used for links or upvotes yet.

seems upvotes are high risk now so if your dependent on upvotes I guess your gonna be eliminated basically which is what reddit wants

maybe try my google loophole although i think upvotes will kill it regardless cause i got old comments removed without any links during the 4 day rollover just cause they had significant upvotes

Seems everyone stopped commenting on here that originally started. I suspect they are all spamming reddit with google links lmao sheesh not even a kiss my ass for saving them financial ruin with that ingenious idea

I don't give up that easily. There are still ways to do it. You just have to be more creative and continue to test. Having your own subreddit is more valuable than ever.

me neither which is why i thought of google idea.
have you tried the google idea? if it doesn't work with google links and upvoting then your wasting your time.
so drop some google links first cause thats the ultimate litmus test
