Reddit is a failed social media platform

Reddit is one of the last major platforms on the internet for researching meaningful input on niche topics.

I would like to know what the OP considers the best platform?

I totally agree with everything you said.

However, there's still a lot of info being shared on the Reddit platform and it's still useful outside of politics.

It's unfortunate. A free speech, unbiased Reddit would be so much better. People have tried and failed miserably aka Voat.

It is still one of the best sources for keyword research if you know what you are doing. :D

I hope that over time there will be a rebound of popular hardline opinions. People will get tired of being disrespected by reddit. And then either reddit will understand that it needs to change and freedom of speech will return there, or it will perish.
But I still believe in a good future.

I don't use reddit, even if it fails, they have an amazing community that makes them strong.

Reddit rocks, did ppl forget wallstreetbets gamestop saga, many ppl making a killing and they allow p0rn.
Alexis ohanian is board member of ape coin Dao as well.
I see them doing something cool with nfts in the near future .maybe tokenizing subreddits .

Agreed with all points.

They do need a better design of their website as well.

Reddit? It’s an apt design for what they’re doing. Why would they need a redesign?

OP - you forgot to mention that the user graphical interface is about 10-15 years old.

For me the new version is very old-styled.
The design is like that because of how reddit is supposed to work, ***** is much older looking yet popular, I don't think that designs matters as much
as usablity and the community.

While the purchasing power is important, to some advertisers, eyeballs is enough. They know eyeballs eventually convert, even if you have to retarget those eyeballs nonstop elsewhere (pretty sure they can be followed elsewhere). If you know this, you pretty much have an untapped source that few will try to replicate because of the first barrier exhaustion.

If you can garner attention on there, you can extend any noteriety elsewhere that converts better, or can be leveraged into getting in front of those converting folks.
How will the eyeballs eventually convert if they don't have purchasing power in the first place?
I think that you don't understand the concept of "purchasing powering" fully.
