Hi,

I've noticed a significant decline in my Google clicks since June 27th. I suspect this might be due to the recent Google spam update. I was advised to wait, but there haven't been any improvements, as shown in this screenshot.

Despite having 30k indexed pages, the only keywords generating impressions are the URL of the website. Previously, I saw impressions for a wide range of search terms.

I'm unsure what to do next. I was advised to focus on quality link building, but I'm not sure how to achieve that with 30k pages.

Thanks for any help or recommendations.

you don't need to build (external) links to 30k pages.

Find the most important pages (the homepage, the main category / silo pages, the pillar pages, and other big topic / traffic pages) and build links to those pages slowly but steadily over 1-2 years (or until you start ranking again where you want, but you still shouldn't stop acquiring links even after that because it might look suspicious).

With proper siloing and good internal linking the backlinks you build to the aforementioned pages will flow authority through the internal links to all of the pages... well, to the pages you're going to link to internally, which is actually why it's paramount that first you have a good internal linking system put into place before building external links to the main hub pages...

Remove pages that are low quality and focus on a few pages. Look for pages that already rank higher in search.
