That's right. WordPress is really a beginner-friendly platform, which I love about them. Very user-friendly, easy to navigate. Would be interested in exploring Medium too, so I appreciate the suggestion!

First time I've heard of Wix and Squarespace but I've researched and seems like Wiz allows creation of website with AI which is interesting. On the other hand, Squarespace is kind of similar to WordPress and looks very user-friendly too. Thanks for this!

I'm currently using WordPress. It's very easy to setup and overall perfect for beginners.

Personally for me, self-hosted Wordpress (.org) is most convenient.
Self-host webhosting may seem intimating but honestly, with the convenience level as it is right now, and "managed" options for a few bucks extra a month, it's super accessible for an average user.
I have explored Ghost, wix, Wordpress (.com) in the past as an alternative along with a few others and Ghost itself is pretty decent, although pretty steep for entry level blogging.
Blogspot is pretty okay but honestly that's an outdated project Google forget they had. Probably soon to be on https://killedbygoogle.com/

I agree, but it also depends on what you're planing to do with the site/blog.
Actually, tbh, I never really used blogs for blogging, I still see blogs as a websites, Your place on the internet that you use it for whatever you want to use it for

Indeed. Been using WordPress for a while now and I'm satisfied for its features. But ofcourse I'm very much open to using other platforms and that's the purpose of initiating this thread
