Google has confirmed that they ran a “broad core algorithm update” last week.

Also confirmed that Google does these types of updates “several times per year”.
There is nothing a site can do specifically to “fix” their ranking after the core update runs.

" There’s no “fix” for pages that may perform less well other than to remain focused on building great content. Over time, it may be that your content may rise relative to other pages."

So, if I am not wrong, Google clear that there is no option to recover dropped page/pages. Better try for new page/pages by adding new content.

Google explained that it is just how changed their ranking models that now benefits “pages that were previously under-rewarded.”

So, what do you think?

Thanks in advance for your opinion.

Funny enough I've seen Ahrefs rankings moved wildly for 4 sites, 1 went from 6million to 13 million, which surprised me as it's traffic and keywords increase.
An old site not done anything at all on recently moved from 23 million to 2.4 million - weird.

It's a crap update from what I've seen so far. For example, 3 of the top 10 results for "stupid jokes" are now news articles about Canada's PM apologising for making a stupid joke. Is that really what people are looking for when they search "stupid jokes"?

I was wondering where my traffic surges came from. One of my pages went from 30+ to position 6 on a 2mil keyword...

I agree but this is fairly recent (just over a month) story. Those will disappear in a few months

bit off topic but where do you get the information ? im using the penguintool and they dont show me this. i need to wait like half a week. thanks in advance

great and here i am trying to set up a pbn to atleast get 100 views a day :D #noobie me

Saw slight changes here and there. I wouldn't have guessed this was a large update otherwise.

My keywords are dancing like crazy.. one of the 1st ranked went to 3rd and I'm definitely better than the competition (relevance, quality and information-wise)
Gotta love traffic drops..
We'll see I guess

Yes! This google update sucks. All my CPA website are vanished from SERP. I was in gaming hack niche. They are giving ranking to yt videos a lot. You can see 3-5 yt videos ranking in serp for a gaming hack niche, no niche websites some forums and authority website which are not even relevant to the topic. Don't know what to do.

My keywords seem to have recovered, after they tanked big time on february 7th. I'm a happy dude today :)

Big changes on here. Hope my keywords are come back to normal position.

Where is the job of SEO professionals? Coz content is something producers, writers and designers can create.

If this is correct, what is the effectiveness of disavow tool and link building then (in terms of ranking)?

And what will be the value of metrics like DA-PA/ TF-CF and URL ratings and domain ratings.

I guess , great content has dual meaning here , it is also about more valued links, no more spam.

I have also seen strong fluctuations in most of keywords but they are getting recovered with a bit of link building.
