Sorry if this question is stupid or noobish, but I'd rather look stupid once and learn than not to learn.

If I use blogger as my promotion blog, can I get it banned?

I would say that if you rely on a site, it shouldn't be owned by somebody else as things can happen. Having said that sites like Blogger are really good for links etc.

I don't think you have much to worry about as long as you keep within their TOS you'll be fine. And if you're not within their TOS you should hide the fact :)
 
I think the only things they go after is , porn,warez,and hate type websites. Other than that I think your good to go. But as Sam Woods said, your better off owning the site.
 
You can only get banned if you violate the TOI. Getting another guy to write for you definitely isn't a violation.
 
They do ban websites with duplicate content and looks SPAM so be careful with that and I don't think they will ban just for promoting but be careful with what you promote is not against their TOS.
 
I agree with the others, definitely better to have your own blog. I find that it just gives you more control over organizing the content and troubleshooting. Definitely do not get all spammy, keep posts real and authentic.
 
No you can't get banned, and although it's good to have stuff on your own domain - it's also good to diversify your links and promotional methods. Some people just browse blogspot all day by clicking next blog. No harm in chucking some posts up and seeing what happens.
 
I've had a blogger blog get deleted before but to be honest I was being really stupid with it. If you're smart about it and don't kill your site with affiliate links you can do it.
 
Ways to get banned in Blogger:
1. Hateful speech
2. Illegal activites
3. Violence
4. Adult content
5. Copyrighted material
6. Spam
7. Violating privacy


Just be sure to have good stuff in your site to avoid being banned.
 
Thanks guys. Just so you know, I'm doing ok so far. Posting twice a week with good, unique content. A bit of results already but no sales yet. :(
