Thanks for so much and sorry for all the questions...i just think 2 much and am working on mapping out my attack plan....i know the best way to figure things out is through trial and error but it cant hurt to get some intel up front either hehe.

if i get set up and going i may start a journal thread (if i can get at least a 75% accept rate on my articles and average at least $2.50 per article) im little worried about being flagged if i submit 2 many articles. i dont like the idea of having more than 1 account that could get my in trouble

Not sure about other sites that pay upfront, as this isn't my main source of income. I write for a living, but I charge much more than $3 per article - this was just a test to see if this method still worked. I'd try googling "Sites similar to Yahoo Voices" or you can become a freelance writer like myself and make a profile on oDesk, Guru, or any other freelance site.

As to getting articles accepted, you shouldn't have any problems getting them accepted unless you are writing on topics that would NEED sources like medical issues, stating very specific facts, etc.

I've only published the three, but plan to submit 10 more in one day to see what the acceptance rate is for mass-submitted articles. I will again choose 10 different niches, but I've been very busy on my other writing projects, so I haven't had a chance. I will update this thread when I do that.

Yes, if you get denied, just fix them up and you can re-submit them for review again. Be sure you are selecting the option that gives Yahoo Voices! the right to the article and confirms that you will not be publishing the article elsewhere.
 
hey ty for the reply and for saying you are going to try and post ten in a day and see how or if that effects the acceptance success. Starting Monday I am going to be producing four articles a day until I start getting feedback to know how well my success is with getting them accepted. If the success of that goes well, I will up my work to doing articles for four hours a day. I eventually want to get up to eight hours a day.
 
Will ya check out an article or two I wrote to get your feedback before I find out if they get accepted? If you would rather wait until I see if they get qualified or not is fine too. If you are too busy to look at them I understand as well. Oh and I can't pm yet so I guess you would have to pm me a way to send you it. Maybe I could just post it on here even. It probably wouldnt accept my post though lol. I am having an extremely hard time getting my posts to post ugh annoying.
 
I'm not sure how you "rewrite" existing articles just by speaking, but I'll give it a try!
 
Also, just a caveat ... based on my own experience: Yahoo is pickier now about which articles they pay upfront for; it used to be that they would accept 4 out of every 5 of my articles and lately it's like maybe 1 or 2 out of every 5; PLUS, they sometimes just publish without upfront payment, as if you submitted it as "display only" on purpose, which happened to me twice lately. To get upfront payment, you probably have to figure out what they're looking for, topic-wise. Surmising from their upfront pay assignments queue, they're into topical and seasonal content. So that's a clue, I suppose.

But why not twist this method and submit the articles to a more profitable site, like Constant Content?
 
All the articles I posted were declined... Got this generic message for each one. I'm sure that money can be made doing this but its not worth my time. (Just my personal opinion)

One way to ensure your content is unique is to look at your own areas of expertise and experience, then give your content a new angle and weave your personal anecdotes throughout. As stated in our Submission Guidelines, it should always be clear that your content comes from YOU and that no one else in the world could have created it.

On a side note... If they want high quality stuff like they seem to be asking for in the message above... it would cost much more than 3 bucks
 
Same Issue I had Kegnum. I did manage to get about 5 articles approved out of the 40 I submitted. It won't let me submit any more articles for upfront pay as of today. Not sure if it's some limit they've imposed on my account or the system is broken. My profile page doesn't work either. It leads to a 404 error.
 
Yeah, they've seriously revamped their upfront pay structure. I've noticed that, for sure. If you can figure out what they're looking for, I guess this method *could* work. But I highly doubt it's going to work for the average writer. They're definitely not accepting stuff as broadly as they were even a year ago. Must be all the Google updates.

The thread is five years old, yet continues to get a ton of views and comments. I noticed a lot of people commenting on it in the last few months, saying there was no way it could still work - but I know better. And I'm here to tell you that it does still work.

I was bored a few weeks ago and decided to rewrite a few articles and submit them to YV to see how the site worked, these days. I rewrote three different articles from three separate niches to see if one niche paid more than another. I decided not to do any more than that, if the site was a waste of time. All three articles were approved and I was offered upfront payments for each article. So let's debunk some of the comments about this thread in the last year.

Myth 1: Yahoo! Voices Doesn't Accept Articles with This Method Because They Get Marked as Spam

I read a few comments from users saying Yahoo! Voices sent them emails that said they wouldn't approve their articles because they were spam. Guess what? If you try outsourcing to some bottom-feeding, non-native English speaker on oDesk or another freelancing site, you are NOT going to get quality articles for peanuts and Yahoo! Voices damn sure isn't going to accept them. I know that's mind-blowing. You honestly can't outsource this type of work to turn a large profit because YV doesn't pay that much to begin with, so if you aren't planning to do the work yourself, don't bother.

Myth 2: Yahoo! Voices Doesn't Pay More Than $2 Per Article

I was offered over $3 for each of my articles. Not great money, but if you're someone who thinks $10-$15 a day would be helpful, then this method is still viable. If you think you can rewrite 20 articles in a few hours by speaking them, then that's still $60 a day. Here's what I was offered:

Article 1: $3.31
Article 2: $3.11
Article 3: $3.06

I'm sure this number can vary greatly, depending on the niche and quality of writing. If you write a seasonal article, that pays even more. For example: 10 Cheap Halloween Costume Ideas

Supposedly, they pay up to $7 per article. I'd assume that's only for specialty articles, like I just mentioned, or something that is insanely well-written - which I would not expect you to see if you're quickly re-writing with voice software.

Myth 3: Articles Take Two Weeks to Approve

All three articles were approved in one week. That's really not a big deal, just keep writing articles and you'll have new ones approved each week.


So. The method does still work. Voices also pays you residual income for every 1,000 views your article gets, but I wouldn't count on that and only consider the upfront payments when asking yourself if it's worth your time. All three of my articles were published on 09-09-13 and have only received 13 views between all three. I'm sure good niches good generate a good amount of views, though.


What You Need for This Method

- Voice software (just torrent Dragon Naturally Speaking from Pirate Bay or another torrent site)
- Articles to rewrite (go to ArticlesBase or eZine and grab a few from popular niches)

Cons About This Method

- Must be a US Resident
- Payment can only be received through PayPal - you cannot opt for a check or an alternative eWallet like Moneybookers

Hi mate. Just a ques about all this US thing cuz surely not looking for just 500 bucks here. I have a lot of my relatives living in US so they won't actually mind filling the form. But my doubt is for payout can I give my paypal and cashout?
