Since I started selling my own products on Amazon I began to wonder how I can get that no. 1 spot on Amazon product list for certain keywords. I began my research and noticed that Amazon algo it's a different animal than G algo.
Since G algo is desinged to deliver value to its users A algo is purely designed to generate sales. This is not ground braking info but baby steps is the way to go for me.
What I learned 'till now regardin A ranking factors:
1.) CTR - if your product is on page 2 and people search and click your product, this will signal A algo that your product have a customer base outside A and A algo will rank your product. This is kinda easy to automate. Will test further.
2.) Reviews - the best reviews are those verified purchase reviews. But how you can get those reviews if you sit on page 2 and have no sales? One way to go is to send free products in exchange for those reviews. This method is pricey and kinda time consuming. Unverified reviews are fine but don't have the same impact.
3.) Shares on social media that get clicks - Amazon knows that the viral effect can make millions in a short ammount of time and this is the holy grail of e-commerce. A good numbers of clicks coming from social media will rank your products. This is difficult to automate because you need a ton of social accounts and a ton of fresh proxies and a good software to manage them all.
4.) Sales - Confirmed sales are the best. But again how do you make sales if you sit on page 2?
Since I'm a noob regarding Amazon rankings I have some questions for you pros:
- It is worth it to rank a product inside Amazon? Or go the old fashion way and rank your amazon link on G?
- Is there dedicated section here on BHW for Amazon sellers and affiliates? I've searched but I found only old info.
- Can you point me to other websites where I can find good info about this subject? I don't need whitehat info.
Thanks.
