Ranking My Website 1# For a 500K+ medium competitve keyword

Hello!

So, This journey is hopefully gone inspire others but also motivate myself to do some work,, I will be ranking a new website for a 500k+ keyword with medium competition but also many other keywords with 50k+ in the same niche. This will probably be quite a long journey so anyone who hangs on and visits from time to time, many props. This is also to help me plan out how I am going to rank my website and I will try and give as much information as I can on what I am doing to rank my website so others can follow along and recreate if they wish.

So What's First?

Well, First off all I searched for an expired domain within my niche I didnt bother with backlink histroy so I took one that has no backlinks but has been registered way back in 2012.

With that domain I also bought 3 Other domains with the same but other .com or whatever you call them.
I dont really know what I am going to do with them, but I think that I will make each one in to a blog and backlink to my main domain (website).

Created 5 1000+ words Articles For my website, so I can create backlinks to them.

Expenses:

4 Domains: 18.64$ From GoDaddy
Shared Hosting: 16$ Namecheap

What's Next?
--------------------

Set everything up, import the 5 articles I have created, and use an auto-post so each article is going to be posted day by day.

Connect to google webmaster, and google analytics.

Start creating a few of my own backlinks, this would include guest posts, and forum posts related to my niche.

Additional Information
------------------------------

Although School eats up a lot of my time, I am hoping to post on here every 2 days with everything I have done and what I need to do. (remeber this will also be my own planner sort of thing.)

I really would like feedback from people, I am not any seo expert, and this is my first time doing this, I know targeting such a keyword is utterly stupid but why not, you live once, no but for real, I want to give it a try, if I lose I will lose.

Just focus on one thing at a time and be patient . if you are planning to rank in google you can expect 3 months to be listed there for 500k keywords and to rank is another 6 months depending on your niche and you said its a new site, this will really test your patience. if you are planning to rank in adult niche forget about it unless your adult niche is nowhere to be found in google search, bcause the big boys in adult industry are spending a lot of money to rank there.. unless you have a lot of money in adult niche try focusing in social media and its not that hard to gain followers just be patient.

Patience + hardwork + focus = Cash

In the niche I am working with some websites sell adspaces, from what I know this nomally comes at 2k$ for 30 months. There is many clients out their in this niche that would happily catch onto the adspace as soon as I grow out, build authority and most importantly get some traffic incoming.

But also google adsense and other cpm networks.

Quick question: Why do you need auto-poster for 5 articles?

Well i like writing so i am hoping to write 30 articles in a week which i can space out over a month. So i can use the rest of the weeks to do some seo work.

Later today i will update on my work i have to run to school.

Hey, Well first off all I searched for the keyword in my niche, it came up with many domains, I looked for any ending with .com and that dont have - these in them, then I checked for the age of the domain, I looked for anything over 2 years old, which i then used the waybackmachine to check if a website was active on that domain and yes, there was one it was between 2011 and 2013, after that I checked the backlinks, it didnt have many like 20 or 30 in history, so I went with that, I didnt want to get a domain loaded with backlinks as you never know what can happen down the line, some could be spammy or just bad.

Update for 07/03/2017:

Well, Yesterday I didn't do much just after responding back to some of you guys I got some really bad migranes, so I only went online went on kwfinder and found some additional keywords that I could use within my niche, I exported the keywords for later use.

However today, I submitted my website to google webmasters, bing, and other search engines I did that myself, I didnt go on any random website to do that for me as I am afraid they could be doing something that could make my website get penalised (I know its not really possible, but you never know) later down the line, After that I redirected rest of the 3 domains I bought to the main .com website, I will be thinking which one to use as an additonal blog that would backlink to the main website.

I've also posted my first article Hurray! 1k words, with 3 keywords targeted. My main one and 2 smaller 50k keywords.

After that I jumped onto a few forums that I have built my respect on (for example lot of messages, likes and posts on the forums by me) and I posted a few posts within my niche containing information relevant keywords to the forum and to my website so the posts dont look spammy, I also added images that had anchors backlinking to my website, and at the bottom of the post I placed something like this ^If you want to learn more on this I strongly recommend you to go onto {Link to my website} and then just finished it off with some nice words etc.

I've also placed links to my website in the signatures and in the bio. You know every little link matters where possible.

After doing that, I took my time to search up a few blogs within my niche, after thoroughly researching the blog (checking backlinks, uptime stats, webpage speed and other relevant information) I contacted the blogs asking for a backlink to my website in exchange for backlinks from my website. I created quite a proffesional email so it didnt seem as if I was just trying to get a backlink but I wanted to look as if I was really proffesional and knew what I am doing.

I contacted about 2-3 blogs within my niche. I could not be bothered to do anymore... (I know I know..)

Whilist browsing through facebook, I found a fanpage related to my niche, which I contacted they responded saying that they are happy to shoutout my website in exchange for a link to an ad on my post. (I checked the ad it seemed legit, it was an amazon product so I was fine with it.) I will be adding it on my second post.

And thats all for today.. It seems quite a lot but I could have done more, just school is really killing time, I am ending school this year so my gcse's are a priority.

What's Next?

The second post with the ad for that fanpage. Hopefully that will give me some exposure within my niche and get me a few natural backlinks from other website's (it is a fairly large fanpage about 300k likes.)

Improving my website, improving the loading speed as this is one of the ranking factors too, so I want to work on that.

Creating a few more backlinks, hopefully a few from the blogs I have contacted but also getting a few natural ones.
