Ranking Homepage with seo?

Okay, so I'm currently building a shop and I have the following problem:

I want to rank for a keyword that has not too much searches but all the other shops ranking there are REAL shops with a PHYSICAL store. I think google trusts them a lot and most of them dont have any real seo in terms of keyword on their site.

Is it possible for me to rank on such a keyword effectively? (Its not a big search amount, maybe like 1000-2000, but its the first thing youll google if you wanna buy that) Its something like "buy sunglasses" with the buy in it and then my niche. Also its a german site.

This is actually my first website im trying to rank and I dont have much experience in seo, but I have been reading about it for 2-3 years now I think and I know a lot about it (maybe not like a pro but for a beginner Im really well informed).

What would you recommend me doing? Is it even good to have some text on my homepage a little further down since its 2000-3000 seo optimized text noone will probably read but it will help me ranking. Or should I just focus my homepage soely on a good presentation?

It is better to analyze your competitor, analyze why they are trusting by Google. Look at their backlink, what are their link building method? If they have a little quality backlinks, then you have a chance to outrank them for a little amount of time.

Create your SEO link building, go for grayhat SEO technique, read some SEO link building tips on this forums
 
You can rank #1-5 with like 300 words, its all about presentation, looks, low bounce rate. but for help ranking homepage maybe have a plugin or something to automatically link the homepage on your blog posts for certain keywords.

Well 1-5 would be pretty tough with just 300 words wouldnt it? Only if you have the possibility to get really good quality backlinks and maybe have a domain thats a little older than 1 or 2 months. And I dont have any big money to spend on backlinks or shutouts etc. So yeah

Well since its the homepage the other sites are ranking for the keyword they have a lot of backlinks. Like really a lot. And not spammy bs, havent looked into it fully but I guess from what I saw the links were decent because they were placed organically! They most likely didnt have to place them themselves.
They have a high Citation Flow and trst flow but they keyword doesnt appear a lot on their sites. Like barely multiple times.
 
Concentrate on keyword density, social media sharing, unique content with internal link building, and build niche relevant backlinks
 
On page optimization ,many internal linking,niche related backlinks

For local searches (city or neighborhood + keyword) the shops with verified address will always have an advantage. But yeah you can rank for it still.
