Hello BHW Community
It's been a while last time i've posted here, so i've decided that after a year or two off from this forum i'll post my Journey for Instagram and YouTube.
Here's the current situation:
YouTube: 370 Subs, Gaming Niche
Instagram: 1st acc - 78 Followers, 2nd acc - 4 followers
So here goes nothing!
The gaming channel i have for over 2 years now and it's been a bumpy road since you all know it's kinda saturated niche - but i love doing it - I found a way to get subscribers and views, and the channel is slowly but steadily growing. The plan for now is to hit 1K till the end of the year - yeah i know YT kinda fked over the small channels but i wasn't making big moneys out of it so i don't even care about that.
I'm already receiving game keys from developers to create content so that's a relieve on my frozen wallet.
The 1st Instagram acc that i have with 78 Followers, is for my YouTube channel, the 2nd one is the most recent it's 3 weeks old and i'm very very slowly warming it up.
What are the tactics?
It's pretty simple tbh ...
I'm not playing Trending games on YouTube, mainly i play Indie games. Sometimes i get lucky with them and sometimes you're just looking at screen where are the views. But lately i've been focusing "more" on the known games that people actually search for.
It feels good if you're the first person to play an Indie game and you basically "own" the keyword.
"Problem" is only with sharing imo.
As for the SEO goes, 1 keyword in title, 2 - 3 in description box, and ofc Tags section.
I share the video on Twitter, 2 or 3 Discord servers, and i post the thumbnail picture to Instagram.
As for the Instagram goes ...
For my YT Instagram acc i'm using Gramblr to upload pictures since i don't have a smartphone.
Pretty much 3/4 of the time the pics get over 100 likes, and a follower here and there, same is with the comments.
I do not recommend it since the engagement is $hit.
For the second Instagram account i have created i'm running an /art/gaming niche account.
Posting fan made art, concept art, game art etc. and tag or credit the Author of the picture.
I add the fitting tags for niche and that's it. Yes i do like, comment and follow a few accounts per day manaully!
Future
Yes i know i need a bot for Instagram to scale up the things, but sadly the financial situation is rly not the best.
I've already started to make thumbnails and banners if somebody needs it, and that's my only main source of income to pay for a game or buy food if i can.
I've been looking at Jarvee bot for Instagram since i've heard a lot of good things about it here on BHW Forums.
As for YouTube channel goes, i have a collab planned in the feature with channel with over 22k subs.
Help?
Help is always appreciated, so if you have any tips, hints, trick feel free to let me know.
If you have any questions feel free to ask away - and no i won't tell you my Channel name and Instagram accounts.
