could they harm me ion anyway? i do not provide any backlinks but i got the content from feeds so i could tell them to shove their feeds up their a**. Man, that lady pissed me off badly :))
 
Well I've always said that until you receive a certified, legal notice in the mail, you haven't received anything. So on one hand you could say fuck it. Do not reply, just ignore.
BUT.....I'm not sure you want to mess with Disney corp. I have a friend who is entangled with Getty Images over one fucking picture he used on a personal website.
 
Pick you battles...that is the best advice. As localhero said, there are some people that it just isn't worth getting in a fight with. Usually I say fuck it but if I am just making a site that is going to make a few bucks over the year, why cause problems for yourself? Work around it. If it is some average Joe though, I would say just ignore them....you can jerk them aruond all day.
 
Most people wont persue it beyond where you're at now. However, be warned they could contact your host and you could get your account shut down.

As for the guy with YouTube, dude YouTube videos don't belong to the guy after he puts them up, they can be embedded anywhere!

To bad, for some reason i just started to get lots of twitts for that blog. Well this sux!

Anyway i'll remove the content and apologize nicely (lol), hmmm, i guess i should prepare myself for getting all kind of emails and notes.

What is the policy with youtube.com, can i get and post any video or do i need some written agrment or something...
 
Agreed. This guy could be bluffing but best not to chance it.

As for the guy on youtube..tell him not to put his video on video sharing sites if he doesn't want to share them!
 
You can post any video, that's why the have the embed function. YouTube encourages this.

It brings YouTube free traffic so they allow anyone to embed any of their videos. The only way I could see it as not being allowed is if you download the video and then upload it somewhere else and link to it.

i am really sorry for this happening, i have just setup a few blogs that search the net for feeds and post into the blog. The system is very primitive at the moment so unfortunately things like this happen but i can promise that I'm on it and I'll fix right as soon as you indicate to me what is your content.

For the future, please let me know if i can credit you back and use your content or if you want me to remove everything that belongs to you.
The best way to avoid this happening again, with me or others is to edit your feeds so they will include backlink to your website, copyright footprint registered to you, your name and trademark (if any) and whatever you may see fit.

Again I'm sorry for this happening and please accept my apologizes.

i get about 6-8 feeds into this blog + youtube/yh answers lol, damn fags :) maybe i'll put down the blog

I wouldn't remove. Just tell him to go blow himself. ...Wait he might take that too literal. So just tell him so stop harassing you, while your scraping his stuff. :D
 
If people have discovered that you're stealing content, I wouldn't take it lightly- even the "average joe" can report your site to adsense, or generate a bunch of fake clicks, getting you banned. Remember, you're dealing with people who also own websites- they're not totally oblivious to this kind of stuff...
 
I have to ask them what is their content or something, i'm not sure if what i scrap is their blog, i might scrap a scraper you know... lol :)) so maybe that feed is good just that post might suck or the feed could suck at well and i might have to delete it.

hmm...let's see what i get back. I sent them an email so i'm waitng for replay.

BTW: i deleted that ladies post and she keeps commenting, lol, i have a contact page why the isn't she using it?

HAHAHAH, this is not fun, =))
