Quick Question On Link Anchor Text

Hey guys. Quick question about link anchor text diversification.

I do primarily outreach building higher quality links. Can I use lower quality links for the soul purpose of being able to use more "exact match" and "partial match" keywords?

By lower quality, I am thinking video description links, profile links, blog comments, bookmarking, infographic directories.

For example, could I have 3 guest blogs in one month, and build 18 lower quality links to the site using other anchor text, then use exact and partial on all 3 guest posts because of the lower links lowering the percentage of the backlink anchor text profile.

Why do you have to use lower quality links? Use higher quality links from high authority sites to build backlinks. Social bookmarking can be done by high authority sites.

I am mostly thinking about how can I maximize my "best" links. It is hard to get a quality contextual guest post on a DR/DA 65, but when I do then I would love to use an Exact Match anchor text.

So, could I run a cycle through some very cheap / easy to get backlinks for other variations of anchor text, so for my guest posts I can have exact or partial?

I do not have as much experience with social bookmarking, but is it very cheap / easy to do? For example, I could get a VA to upload a quick video to 20 video sharing sites, and have 20 links just for diversification of anchor text, and it would cost me practically nothing.

Is it practical to have a workflow like this:
1) Post high quality guest post with exact or partial anchor text.

2) Post on video site to get 3 links that are all other variations of anchor text.

3) Post on bookmarking sites to get 4 links that are all other variations of anchor text

4) Repeat 1

Would this work ^ as a method to always have exact or partial on my highest quality links without getting a penalty / being risky?

You "cheap" links will likely get ignored - video description links, profile links and blog comments have no SEO value. Any link that can just be dropped in there by anyone is next to worthless.

Continue to build high quality links and don't over-optimise your anchor text. Search engines won't divide your links between high and low quality, the denisty is judged overall

See what I believe, there is no point in having backlinks from cheap or I would say from those websites that have low DA. Social bookmarking is easy to do and effective at the same time, you can try it. But yes, it's kind of tough to gain backlink from a guest posting site with high DA.

Yes, that is what I am thinking. The video links would not have any "seo" or "ranking" power, but If the density of the link profile is judged overall then that would mean this would work for diversifying the anchor text.

SEO value doesnt matter when you have an over optimized profile prevent rankings.

Link quality does matter matter. You dont want spun garbage for blog comments, but blog comments can be natural.

Plenty of successful sites have what we call junk links.

I just checked competition for someone with a medium comp keyword.

Number one had public PBN posts, web 2.0s, and a couple niche specific directory links. Web 2.0 links and niche directory links were low quality.

I wouldnt waste a great link for generic or naked anchor text.

Maybe branded, and absolutely long tail, exact match and article title.

A lot of free links are natural and can be used. If you used only amazing guest posts to rank, you would need thousands of dollars for even a low comp keyword. The ROI isnt in most keywords to make it happen with only guest posts.

With my current "guest post" process I can get 20+ DA, with traffic, websites pretty cheaply (around $30 - $50 overall), so they are my prime link building tactic as it seems the safest and highest authority.

If I focus on this technique, can I use these tactics like video description links, blog commenting, social bookmarking to even out the anchor distribution of the overall profile? So I can have the best (highest metric) links primarily have long tail, exact, and article anchor like you mentioned?

I may be wrong to try to make guest posting my primary strategy, but, having not much experience with other tactics, It is a safe option for client SEO.

Plus I am meaning to cycle through anchor text variations (like GotchSEO does), and create 6 normal quality links that can be outsourced very cheaply, and then create one guest post to have the best anchor texts.

I posted a thread about inner page anchors you should read to make sure you nail this.

As far as what types of links are concerned, I aim for web 2.0s, real social links (google plus, facebook and twitter), niche related links, infographic links and video links.

I build blog comments manually. They help diverse back links but I use them to get on website owners radars for eventual outreach.

I have a couple rules when I really care about a website:

1. Links look natural
2. Provide value to end user
3. Can provide niche traffic

Using these rules, I have not been hit at all.

It is perfectly natural for your business to have youtube and video site profiles, post a video and link to a related page.

As well as an imugr or image sharing brand page and share an infographic.

It is also natural to post on a blog and link to your site if it will help the end user find useful information.

Nothing screams SEO like:

1. All web 2.0 and pbn links
2. Perfect anchor ratios (all pbn links exact and all diveristy naked url)
3. Only "high quality" links

I do preform a lot of serp analysis. That is my specialty. The best thing I advise is never follow a method 100% and always have good diversity and velocity.

My advice for you? Use some branded accounts, make good vidoes and infographics and share each a couple times. You easily get 5 diversity anchors and can do it yourself. Quicker than guest posts, and guaranteed to land.
