Quick question about redirects

So i have an ecommerce site that i've been building links to DOMAIN.COM. However, when i access domain.com it automatically directs me to Domain.com/Servers/Blah blah.

Now it does this automatically possibly due to the ecommerce host i am using? Now with this totally affect my abilities to get ranked for DOMAIN.COM even though it redirects to Domain.com/Servers/Blah blah?

I have another e commerce site that we actually built an index file to keep it from redirecting to the server/blah blah? but everytime i update i have to update two files one being the index and the other being the default omain.com/Servers/Blah blah

Seems like something to do with the .htaccess file, you may want to have a programmer look into it or ask your web host. There's no reason for your index page to be redirected to an inner page unless the .htaccess file in the root dir is telling it to.

Yes it's configuration issue and can be easily solved by checking through forum of that script... You can contact their support also... You also got .htaccess which can be used to solve your problem...

well this is an ecommerce site so i am asking about the SEO issues here i am actually using prostores as my ecommerce hosting hopefully that can clear that up but you guys are making it sound like i should not be redirecting

Don't know specifics... but worth a shot.

Backup your .htaccess file and remove the one from your server... see if problem persists.

hmm i don't see a .htaccess file when i view it using File Zilla

Just for clarification: you own this domain, right?
And you put up some sort of ecommerce script and after that the redirect occured?

yes i own the domain...i am using prostores.com as my ecommerce hosting i am just curious if i should put a index.html file to keep it from redirecting to servlet/blahblah for seo purposes..
