[Quick Case Study] - Ranking Web 2.0 Sites using GSA and 301 Shorteners in 2017

why you guys use url shorteners tho. why not direct gsa blast to 20s directly

We want to test if the bad links can be cleaned by filtering throught the shorteners. And they should also increase other features of the links.

On my side there are not changes still dancing between #21 and #25.

arent web 20s filters on their own?

maybe tier 2 would be good filter.

They are but you always need more, and if you are trying to rank a web 2.0 then it can't be the "filter".

but you can use web 20 in tier 2 as a filter to web20s in tier 1 and point your links at tier 2

i cant see how shorteners might perform better than normal contextual page :)

For sure but with shorteners it is much easier, because in theory if you add something like 100 shortenrs and blog comment them, you have 100 new links.

And you need no content to waste as with web 2.0. Of course both tactics together would work likely the best, and here we are trying to see if shorteners work or not.

oh yeah. + shorteners are considered as "domains refering" and they have big metrics of any kind. im gonna try to use them on my T1 as well. Not for filtering tho. just to quickly bring some high quality refering domains.

Why wouldent you replicate this except not on a web2.0 but on a auction domain with some authority, then use it as a parasite until it gets slapped. Maybe could put up some CJ aff offer, like yoga pants.

Could probably replicate the whole gsa use with some fiverr gsa gigs save you some time

OP which indexers or indexing services you are using to index the GSA shit? No results at all until some spam indexed by search engines. Focus on indexing of links and you will get better results if the keyword is really low competitive.

Pretty much the same thing - web 2.0 also has authority (as whole domain).

I use T3 comments for indexing the GSA articles. And most of the comments are already indexed. I do not use other indexing services.

I didn't ever considered them valuable, but again I didn't test them so they might be.

But with a real domain, you can creat subpages and there are no limits to what you could get on there, and in the future if somehow you survive not being deindexed you can sell or reuse. I guess I just dont see the benefit of a web2.0 over a good auctioned domain.

Well a web 2.0 has much more authority than any domain one can get, even the ones with awesome authority. And it is 100% free.

Good info will try this case study mate

So far no changes ... it is not #20 and it was #22 before building the links.

However just 10% of T1 links (articles) are indexed, even though I used backlinks indexer services ... therefore I am going to build a more links and wait.

So now I have 200-250 indexed T1 articles (out of 2K) and 30K comments pointing to those 2k articles. So out if these 30K comments just 3K pass links juice. So the first step to fix this is to do 20K comments pointing to those indexed articles (T1) ... or even more.

But it will require additional time to pass all the juice. Would be faster if I blasted the shorteners directly with comments.

I love case study in this forum

Im following this for sure

thanks OP, what ever the result, please keep us update

Best of Luck

Nice of you to open such threads, unfortunately 90% of all ''ranking case studies'' on BHW are never finished. They open threads start posting stuff and after few weeks the threads is dead and when someone comes after month or two and bumb the thread by asking ''any updates'' the OP is hiding like a mice even thought you can see him posting around the forums. Hope you are not one of these guys. Good luck.
true, but if the OP doesn't continue I assume it never reach the goal

Update from my journey using a very similar method to OP.....(see my first post in this thread)

Made a fresh web 2.0 on 28th March and fired 5 301 redirects at it and then fired around 200 spammy backlinks to 301's AND 400 spammy links directly at web 2.0. 200 the day after creation and 200 two days later.

Wasn't in the serps until today, but came thru with the following:

View attachment 89120

Not earth shattering, but if it will make it into the top 3 slots I will be more than happy as the whole process took less than 30 mins total

PJ

Ps the keyword links directly to my drop ship project so fingers crossed :)
wow
that 200 spammy backlinks to 301's AND 400 spammy links are those just comment links or contextual as well ?
thank you for sharing the results

I started adding more comment links to existing indexed links hope in few weeks the ranking will change.

And will make more T1 articles wait for them to get indexed and only then add loads of comments to them.
