[Quick Case Study] - Ranking Web 2.0 Sites using GSA and 301 Shorteners in 2017

What do you you think, is it posible to rank web 2.0 using GSA and 301 shorteners with no direct links for an easy keyword (18 in kwfinder)?

Anyways, I have a web 2.0 page sitting on position #19 for some time already. Lets see if it is possible to put it on the first page with just a GSA blast pointing to 4 301 url shorteners which link to the page.

According to kwfinder, the position is #22, keyword difficulty is just 18 and the strength of my page is 24. Lets see if the rankings and other things will increase after the blast.

Nothing else, no PBN no other direct links to the article.

Will let you know in a few days if the rankings have increased and how much.

More details:
I have created 4 short urls using the services bellow. For T1 then I use just article platforms such as article, web 2.0 and wikis. The content is an long article spun on word level automatically by Cleverspinner. The tier2 links are just blog comments.

1) Shorteners used:
- tinyurl, is gd, bit.ly, ow.ly

2) GSA T1:
- Around 2K articles

3) GSA T2:
- 6K blog comments

Stats: Curent position: #19/22

Hell yeah can't wait to see the results. Was thinking about doing something similar. I believe 301 shorteners still work in 2017.

I have never tried this technique before. Also I will try it with a brand new web 2.0 post/site ... one that that is not ranked at all. In order to try to get a complete picture.
 
If that property makes sales then it will be a nice case study for BHW. Hope to see it rank.
 
The search volume is pretty low, but if in top 10 it will make a few sales :)\

And google is already indexing the T1 content, 10 pages are already indexed, even the content was spun automatically. Seems like google loves it.

I would definitely take the keyword difficulty from keyword tools with a grain of salt. There are so many factors to take into account.

Anyway, good luck ranking the web 2.0. Just be patient because it seems to take a while for tiered and GSA links to kick in nowadays.

Well just an indicator, the competition is actually pretty high, but I usually beat them.

It should be 7-14 days .. sometimes even sooner.
 
Actually, that was without the shorteners in between. Hope it won't be much longer this way.

Otherwise this won't be a quick case study :)

I think this could work out if you're targeting low-comp keywords. Although, I never used a web 2.0 as a "money website" before, I'd be interested as to where this will take you. I may do or try something similar. Nonetheless, good luck with the project!

what is the kw difficulty ? thats the main question .....if you ar on place 189 without links it should be very easy i guess.

Easy, according to kwfinder it is 19. There were a few links (created long time) before, but it is on page 2, and I am trying to move it to page one with just shorteners in order to see if they still work in 2017.

But I will try the same thing with another web 2.0 page without any links. It might be that the best combination is direct article links + shorteners.
 
so you are using spun content for tier 1 & whats the ranking stats of yours?
 
What do you mean? I didn't measure the rank of T1 as these are some sites from GSA.
