Hello,

I have seen our e-commerce website to rank weirdly high on Bing but not on Google despite having the same number of competitors as a business on any search engine and our main focus has always been google.

What can this difference of ranking on this to two search engines mean if anything?

Regards,

They're both search engines, but work differently, so it's like comparing an apple with an orange, but both are still fruits.

This weirdly did not help me xD, my question is the reason of why I flourish better on the apple rather than orange.

Because many Advertiser pay money to rank on google, so you have to fight with many competitor to Win the high rank

Most SEOs compete to rank for Google and they keep working 24x7x365 to find methods and strategies. Bing is different as you can rank a fairly new site on Bing with quality content. If you follow main stream strategy of gaining authority by building backlinks, you can rank on Google too.

Yes, this happens, my theory is bing is focused on providing best, contextual etc content. So the overarching factor is content.
While for google the overarching factor is backlinks.
Also, watch out it's very easy to lose ranking in bing as backlink doesn't have that much weightage as in google search.
How can you take advantage of this?
Choose the niche which has a good amount of search volume in bing.
You may rank 1 in bing but without search volume it's useless.
Not people claim search volume may be showing 0 but people might still be searching.
Here's the thing, if a tool like ahrefs shows some search volume it basically takes out the guessing game.
