Hi BHW, I am not experienced with cold emails and stuff. Looking for some advice.

Let's say I have a product (non-physical) for a group of people.

I am good with programming so, I scraped (yay python) few thousand emails from a place where that group of people hangs out.

I repeat. I scraped them. They haven't subscribed to my list or anything. They are super niche targetted emails.

How should I go about promoting my product to these people without getting flagged for spamming? or not to land in the spam folder?

I am good with techy stuff. Can you guys point me to any guide on how to set this up and best practices to do that etc..

How many emails you have scraped??

you own the product or just a affiliate??

Email SPAMMING is hard nowadays because a bad SMTP or IP and all your emails in "Spam" folder, never will be seen.

TEST, take a SMALL portion of 10k email and test SMTPs here and there. Check "Inbox rate","Open rate", "CTR" etc and choose the BEST. You have time for testing so good luck.

I think you can afford the cost because you own the product, If you can't find a offer just try a "pre-registration of product".
finding marketing tactics while building it
You should try fb ads, google ads. I didn't have used bing ads. You can also try new platforms like instagram or snapchat if that's suits with your product theme.

EDIT : Please Don't forget ReTargeting, Setup tracking early. DATA is the key.

I would just skip emailing them.

Personally, I’d import them into a Facebook Ads custom audience. Then you don’t have to worry about spam folders and bounce rates and getting banned by SMTPS etc etc.

Then, you can target FB Ads super cheap (should be like $0.03 or $0.04 per click with this size of a custom audience)

Then send to a sales video.

It’s going to be much, much better and substantially easier to scale.

Lovely. Now I can do both :D

Anyone else got any tips, you can point me to?

What @Farrah1 said is likely the best option with a scraped email.

If you go ahead and email them, I would say make the email content rich and link to a article page rather than a promo. You'll still get flagged but less than if you would send a promo email.
