so i have site, let's say regarding fruits. And i have multiple pages on this site and one page is regarding apple and on this page, i have an article of more than 3000 words and in between comes word 'orange' more than 5-10 times. And i have another page for orange as well. So is it a good on-page seo practice if i link the word 'orange' on the apple page and then link it to the orange page?

for instance, if this 'orange' word is repeated 10 times on this apple page, can i link it to the orange page 10 times or how many times at maximum can i link?

No, you should link once otherwise it might be over-optimisation. It looks unnatural if you link 10 times to the same inner page using the same anchor.
