Question On 301 redirects

I am unfamiliar with the 301 redirect method but I know many use it. My question is this:

Would it be an issue if the domain that is redirected to the money site is in the same registrar account as the money site?

When you 301 redirect a domain you are trying to fool google that you moved to a new domain, not that you are not the owner of it..

So yes, it is safe to have it on the same registrar, even on the same ip..
