Question For Internet Marketers: Marketing Music

Hey guys,


I'm hoping i can gain some insight from some of you more experienced marketers here. I'm trying to figure out some ways to market music using social media. I know the big three can be utilized, Facebook, Twitter & Youtube, through their ad platforms i'm just not sure of the best way to approach it.


So the general idea i had was to do covers / remixes of established artists songs and then promote to their audiences. I would only promote to people in my home state to begin with. I'm really just not sure if there are any methods or strategies that are a good way to approach it. I know this is a difficult thing to touch because most IM is focused on immediate sales where as this is more for building a brand initially.


Is there anyone that's experienced in the field or has anyone used social media techniques that worked for them that could be applied to this field? I appreciate your time!

You pretty much listed it all from right there. Promote your music through other channels but don't be spammy about it because people hate that. Follow others big accounts followers to have them check out your channel when they're curious who followed them. It's definitely not an overnight process though
