    Hi guys

I got an ezine article that I was trying to rank for. It just got published yesterday and is already indexed but not showing up when I search for the keyword.

There are about a Million search results that come up for the keyword and my article is nowhere to be found.

I just want to know if there is a delay between an article getting indexed and then ranking or do both happen simultaneously?

I will be grateful if someone can answer this question for me.

P.S. - The reason I ask is because this keyword has over a million results although none of them are really relevant. My article is one of just 10 or so results that would have the keyword as the title even.

Make sure that your article contains the KW in the first and last paragraphs. Then, type "Keyword" to see if the search shows your article. If it doesn't, you just picked the wrong keyword(keyword is too competitive)

What's your keyword? Maybe I could help you with right direction. Sometimes, it is not easy to rank high with competitive keywords. Most of the time, articles are ranked on "Long Tail Keywords". You might need to boost your article by building backlinks that outnumber the quantity of your competitors.

    Thank you!

I will give you a tip of advice
I do this with my article and have them rank up right away!
I get a .tk domain and blast them away from the indexing tool given away at this forum to about 3000 whois websites, and the .tk domain I get 3 or 4 of them and it is the keyword
and it comes up in the ranking in a few days!

I really don't know what happened here. I have written several other ezines for similar keywords and they have always come up somewhere in the ranking. This is the first time I am seeing my Ezine not ranked at all.

The competition is pretty bad for this keyword. There are no authority sites even in the top ten. I was expecting my Ezine to rank in the top 50 at least.

I still cannot believe what happened. I just finished watching shutter island and this has added to the confusion. :D

Anyways guys, thanks for your replies.
