Question about Google Play icon?

Hello, I have one question, as I did not find any info about this. Can I have one icon in google play and other icon in app? Icons are basically same, just one have more effects.

The thing is that on one of my projects I bought script and they made app for my, but if I want to change icon, they ask my 90 euros for this. I have all source codes for all my projects and I know that to change icon cost my 5 mins of time.

New icon made 200+ installs in one month.

I`m not greedy I understand that any work is paid, but 90 euros only for inco change is too much, all soft costed $250.

I know that I can play with experiments legally, to have like 2 icons better performing show 99%, or something. But it is interesting or I can have one incon in store and another in app.

Do you mean icon in app and in store are different? I think the answer is yes, it is possible, as long as it still describes the app well.

Take an example, you publish the store in 2 languages or more, the store will ask you to upload new icon for new language rather than your app's default language.
