Question about Facebook fan page building and monetization

Hey guys,

Some years back, I got in touch with a guy who had big FB groups and was feeding them viral videos that used to redirect to a video portal of his, monetized with AdSense. I remember that at the time FB was already taking measures against such schemes. He used to make between $5K-6K a month...

My question is, is still a viable option to start building a FB fan page and to monetize traffic like this? If not could you recommend treads, discussing similar FB schemes?

there are a lot of pages and groups like this, you can find https://www.facebook.com/search/str/treding/keywords_pages?epa=SEARCH_BOX

get videos from different sources like youtube, vimo, video status apps etc., and upload them on FB. build users link, follow, comment,... and finally once you got some users, then you can share any website links and get traffic.

I can't see how the group you linked monetized, but I found this one - ViralLemonEN

So, what they basically do is like you said - upload viral content on facebook to grow a fanbase, and then in between posts they upload content from their own website, right?

Do you know in what cases FB flags you for spam? My friend's groups were 500K+ fans and are now all taken down. I know he used to link like 5 to 10 videos a day from his site. Could this be the reason? And do you have any safety advices when building up groups like this?

FYI, I'm currently browsing the existing treads, just wanted to hear your thoughts.

It is still working and the best niche there is for that kinda group is politics. Then viral and funny niches.

Yes, first focus on Building Followers for your Page. for this Upload viral or funny videos (you can find youtube or other sites or fb groups or fb pages). For Safe not getting down your page, you always keep original link back.

Once your Page getting popular then ...

1) contact youtube channel owner and get rights to share their content and link back to their youtube channel or website, this way your page safe.
2) add your own website content in between your fb post and get free traffic to your website (monitize your website with adsense or other ad networks like taboola, outbrain, etc))

I want to reach the same goal as bullgar but my question is : How to start without any relations in the "influencer world" an get some real organic likes ? How can we get our first like without using sharing like methods, buying likes, ... ? For instance, the funny and humour niche is very interesting but posting in existing pages does not bring any followers in my case ^^

Few years back, they would make a few fake female profiles and slowly build them up (targeting US and Western European users), trying to stay off fb's radar. It's gotten harder over the years though, given the acc verification and various ways to check if it's really you.

The other way is simply invest, I think it's still rather cheap...

Well, I guess that's one way to do it, but it's not what I meant. With a fake account of a sexy chick, it's quite easy to build up friends. However, if you can make it work without facebook catching you. I guess if you are patient and methodical it could work, but it seems like a trial and error to me.

In the initial stage, you can comment on other pages and when people like your comment, you can invite them to like your page. When your page grows, use fb ads. Always keep checking fb copyright warnings. When you share videos of other fb pages, they flag your videos and you should remove it. Sharing links works fine with youtube videos but never reupload videos. Write video title along with the link instead of posting naked urls. You should be safe as it isn't breaking any fb ToS.
