Pushing new Channel

Hey guys!
I got a quick question regarding pushing a new legit youtube channel. A friend of mine started a new youtube channel. He is doing mainly acoustic music covers and playing his own songs, just fyi.
Can any of you give me any tips on how to grow the account quick and fast? How to get views, what keywords to use and everything. If anyone is used to can tell me some? Or is there any "master" thread to it i can read?

Try to search for related articles here in the forum.
I suggest your friend to buy a good camera and to record with a good sound - most important. Look at keywords that related channels use, follow them, learn from them, add your personal switch to it and there you go..
