I've been hacked...
I figured I'd continue the trend of clickbait titles that I've been seeing around here... anyway, this is to inform you that my Skype account was hacked this morning and a spam message went out to all of my contacts. Since that's many of you here I figure it would be appropriate to apologize for the confusion and potential risk this caused you. I've contacted a good number of people individually, but haven't been able to get to everyone.
From my brief googling, it appears it could have been due to an old breach as that particular password hadn't been updated in quite some time, and no I haven't been clicking on random links or downloading malware.
Why should this matter to you?
Good question. It may not. But most likely this is a helpful reminder to change your passwords every so often (or use a password manager to make things way easier) and set up two factor authentication wherever possible. I've backed up my hard drive after seeing a post about someone's hard drive crashing only to have it pay off several months down the road.
Also don't be naive and use the same password for everything. Cheers.

CLARIFICATION: I have full access to the account and two factor authentication has now been added.
