Anyone here with lots of Insta/fb/ or any other platform/accounts that need proxies and got to a point where it didn't make sense to buy proxies from the "big guys" and just made it themselves ?

Is it worth it to make my own?

Nope, best option is to buy them.
 
Its worth it if you know how to and how to is something more than setting up proxy on linux server.
 
You can make them yourself. There are even some threads showing you how to. But this is not the best option when it comes to dedicated IPs because:
  1. You will need a lot of IP addresses - which you need to buy from datacenters. And if you do not buy in bulk, you risk getting higher prices.
  2. You need to manage those IP address from a VPS (which you can get from a datacenter company too).
To sum up, yes you can make your own, but is it worth it in the end? The short answer is usually no

What country are you from?
 
If you know what you're doing, it's 100% better to make yourself, as you'll pay less for higher quality.

Most people will disagree because they don't understand the real process and costs behind proxies.

You can buy a VPS and buy additional IPs, there tutorials in the forum
 
Depends on your scale, if the need is 50-100 proxies for a month, it's probably not worth it.
 
It's easy and hassle free to buy from provider as you can switch easily.
