Hi,

A while after I started a website, I found out that the name in one of my domains is a registered (international) brand which is also registered in my country. Domain and hosting are both registered in my country at the moment. Despite the fact that many competitors are also using this brand in their domain, I would like to prevent possible claims. I've heard before that there are companies around the world that
ignore claims and take-down requests from brands and keep their customers completely anonymous. I don't think the brand will make problems about it, but why not try to prevent it if it's possible :p.

So, what is the best way to handle this?

I don't know this for sure, but if you are not selling the same product, you won't need to worry too much about it. Depends on the size of the company and how much they can afford to spend on lawyers.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. My question is not really about the 'what if' more about the 'how to prevent it'. So I was wondering if there are methods to completely anonymize it.
