Problem: Pushing videos with likes

HI Guys!

I have a problem....3 days ago I pushed 2 of my videos with likes. One video had ~6k views and the other about 8k views.

I started to push those videos with likes, until they got like 800 likes on one day. After that, the views started to explode. After 1 day,
the 6k video had about 50k views, the other had around 20k. But since the first 1,5 days of pushing them, the views didn't really increase that much anymore. I pushed them even harder.

Standings now: first video 4k likes at 70k views and the second has 3,5k likes at 28k views.

My question: Did the videos increase the views by youtube ranking them somehow (they were several days uploaded until this date) or did youtube push the videos because I got that many likes in such a short time?

Would it be wise to push them even more with likes? Would The videos then get pushed again maybe? I don't know THAT much about the youtube rating system yet tbh :-|

your rankings might have increased because of the likes in short time, however i am not quite sure on that (wait for someone more to confirm/decline on this). For me when i push likes, i always see movement up..

Just try not to overdo the liking, because you might get your videos penalized. Do it slowly and steadily. So far your views/likes ratio looks good, try to maintain it..

Something that looks realistic. Say you have 10,000 views. Do you think everyone is gonna be pushing the like button? Probably not. Not even half of them would, so I would probably keep it between 1-3k (just me). Look at some real legit videos and do what they do.

I personally run with a 10% Like to View ratio and stop pushing likes once I reach 10.000 views / 1000 likes. From that point on I only put the doubled amount of dislikes I received that day. I.E. if one video received 12 dislikes that day, I put 24 fake likes on it to balance it out.

Your ratio is terrible. Go with more views and less likes. I go with 10k views and 200-300 likes not more (1k likes it's to much).

I agree with Neko on this. ~10% like to view ratio seems the most natural to me after looking at a few videos that are ranking well. I would also add a few favourites and possibly some shares as well. I know that favourites definitely do help with ranking, people seem to forget about them.

Check your analytics and see where you are getting your traffic from, that will explain the view increase/decline.
