Hi Everyone,

Time to give back to the Community.

Me and @picfabindia are both AdWords experts and wish to share our combined knowledge with BHW community.

Our background - both of us have extensive experience in managing Adwords for clients from across the industries. I was Google Adwords Certified for a couple of years. Between us, we have over 7 years & 1000+ Adwords Campaign management experience. Search, Display, Youtube, Remarketing ? you name and we have done it.

Over the years we have picked a lot of good tips & products/resources related to Adwords from BHW as well, not to forget countless other useful posts, making friends & contacts. This thread is our way of giving back & saying ?Thank-You?

So here we are ? ask us anything about Adwords you are struggling with, need help or are unclear.

We will try to answer as soon as we can. The only request we have is for you to be specific as possible.

Fire away your questions :google2:

Just a gesture of giving back to the community.....
Looking forward to convert this thread to be the biggest in Adwords sub forum ;)

Perfect timing for this thread, thanks!

I am looking to really learn and refine my current campaign. Its about $30/day and its draining me right now. What are the basic guidelines for structuring the campaign? I understand how to do it theoretically with tight ad groups, keywords, etc, but actually implementing this from within the campaign is the confusing part.

I have some exact match product keywords and they are not converting AT ALL and then I have some very broad keywords that I am also ranking for organically, and I am getting a much better conversion rate.

I guess what I am asking is: What is the step by step process you do when you take over a new account or start 1 from scratch?

If I have an ebook or ebook/course that I make myself (it's not an affiliate bridge page), what are the rules for making an Adwords squeeze page to directly sell my product without getting banned? Apparently it is legal (allowed in the rules) to do this, but it has to be done a certain way which I'm having a ridiculously hard time finding out that answer. What's required BESIDES a contact and privacy policy/terms of conditions link?

Thanks

Hi, Beazt

I have two questions,

1) I have 17 $100 coupons for google adwords and i understand that you need 1 account for each coupon and $25 to spend before you can activate the coupon, now can i use the same credit card for all 17 accounts ? or do i need to use 17 different credit cards? and if i have to use different credit cards, what do you suggest? what about vccs?

2) I have a adwords account banned but i know that i can get it unbanned and ask for a re-review but thats not what i want.
If u have a banned adwords account how can you create a new one so that google does not know that that you just made a new one.

Can you use the same credit card that was banned on another account into your new account?

First of all, I would like to suggest you to not get limited to a squeeze page if this is your own ebook. Make a website, post some good content and enrich the user experience. Your visitors should have a feel what quality of stuff he can expect from your book. Don't make the squeeze page just for selling the ebook, try making it to build a user base who likes reading you and your further projects.

The only restriction you can encounter while promoting this on adwords is Information Collection.
Please go through this page: https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/190438?hl=en

This should help you. As per google policies, your page should not collect information, if allowed, it has some limitations that have been mentioned in the link above.

1. From my experience, I have used a same credit card for 3 accounts max, but take care that you don't promote same stuff over and over again on all accounts using the same card. The VCCs work provided you take care of all the stuff...the proxies,IP,cookies etc. Last time I used a VCC successfully was 6-8 months back from now.

2. Make it with the information of your family member etc. Try altering the address. Don't use the same payment source. A new user account in chrome helps.

Don't use the card from banned account to the new account.

Heading out for some work. Can't make such a detailed post right now. Will return in the evening. Hopefully Beazt will reply by then.

Cheers!

To add to what @picfabindia said above, here is an example of a Website collecting emails in a way which is approved/allowed by Adwords. The Author is an Adwords Expert himself and has publicly stated that he drives a large amount of traffic to this page using Adwords, and is yet to face any policy issues.

There are numerous examples of good performing landing pages. However, it comes down to which industry/vertical YOU are into and what the Goal of YOUR Campaign is.

For example, a great performing Landign page for B2B would be totally different for a B2C niche. Similary, campaigns with goals being to generate Check-out/sales will have a very different Landing Page than one trying to generate leads/email subscription.

So rather than giving you specific example, I would point you to the tried and tested PPC Landing Page Anatomy. Give or take a few changes and this template suits most of the industries. Here is the link to one such example:

Example Landing Page Layout

Please note that there is no end to landing page optimization, just like there is not end to Campaign optimization. You can keep testing/tweaking & improvising the ROI from your campaigns. But if followed, the above reference layout will serve you good.

I have some exact match product keywords and they are not converting AT ALL

Which stage of the buying funnel does these keywords fall into? Keywords generally fall into one of these categories:

-Awareness
-Interest
-Learn
-Shop
-Buy

Shopping & Buyer keywords are the best converting ones in almost all cases. Second part is how many clicks have you generated for such keywords to make sure they are indeed non-converting.

and then I have some very broad keywords that I am also ranking for organically, and I am getting a much better conversion rate.

If you have goals set-up in analytics, then find out what those organic keywords are and make sure you include them in the Adwords Campaign to see their performance.

That will indeed be a detailed post, plz allow some time to prepare it :p

I have created a campaign and few of my keyword got quality score of 10, but my ads for those keywords were not showing in search results, as per google those keyword have low search volumes, could you please tell me how to deal with this as these low search volume keyword will be good for conversion, i cant leave them just because of law search volume.

Jango

P.S:please tell me which are most important factors who could impact quality score?

Hi, couple of questions from me.. :)

1) What niche(s) has yielded high ROIs, in your opinion?
2) How to get more targeted traffic from the Display network?

Thanks....

Try raising the bid.
Try changing the match type.
Are they seasonal keywords, or likely to generate searches in near future (like from a product lauch etc.)? If yes, then keep them.
If there are only a hanndful of such High QS keywords, keep them active as they are NOT hurting your QS.
If there are many such keywords and together they generate substantial impressions - pause them as they would hurt the overall QS
If you feel they are important, converting keywords - create a new ad group for them so as to segregate them better.

P.S:please tell me which are most important factors who could impact quality score?

Several, and not all of the are specified by Google. To me, the most important factor would evetually be the CTR. Eventually, because the initial QS alloted when a new keyword is added is certainly updated as it starts generating performance data.

Hi, couple of questions from me.. :)

1) What niche(s) has yielded high ROIs, in your opinion?

ROI would depend upon how much you are profiting per sale so it depends. If you are referring to the niche with most sales opportunities then B2C verticals have more scope then B2B simply because of their larger audience size.

2) How to get more targeted traffic from the Display network?

Try Placement Campaigns. Research & shortlisted few handpicked websites/placements visited frequently by your target audience. You do not even have to use the display planner for this - simply use Google research and check if these websites have adsense enabled. Then create customized Ads as per those website topics.
