Hi everyone, my name is Z, and I'm part of an art collective planning an explosion of content over the internet. We're going to release dozens of social media stories and interactive games, centered around a beautiful movie we shot about two guys ruining each others' lives. It's art about the post-truth reality we are in, deepfakes, separating fact and fiction, the way we are destroying each other online, and more.We want to use viral marketing, movement building, grey hat SEO techniques, all the tricks in the book, along with some influencer marketing and paid spend, to create a cohesive story that builds audience quickly, finds them where they are, retains, retargets, and grows the audience.

I'm looking to talk to people who have some strategy ideas for getting as many eyes on this project as possible. Any ideas of strategies for this project, people I should talk to, or places I should look? Thanks!

well the strategies different greatly if you have capital or not, and how much is the capital.
cheapest method is to put it in YT and share in SM

with some capital, Make giveaway, than ask it to be posted in every big influancer you know. the bigger giveaway the better.
make some trailer of the movie,do some ads in YT, fb etc. don;t forget to link the trailer in the giveaway.

The most obvious approach for an "underground" movement like yours would be adopting guerrilla marketing techniques.

But you need to be a little careful in what you do so that you do not contradict your core philosophy.

Could you perhaps share that, as "art collective about post-truth reality" is a bit vague?

Well as this thread got deleted 1 or 2 days ago, let me say it again.

This sounds complex, good luck with it I guess.

Excuse me as I don't quite get it. What are you trying to do actually?
How many people do you have in your team? Do you have the content ready?

Thanks for the responses all! My hope in posting here is to find the right person who can help us execute some of the more innovative parts of our marketing plan. We've got traditional marketing down.

We've got capital. Some influential celebrities, planning a series of stunt marketing events which we will boost with paid media spend and PR, but we want to go much further.
We're building an ARG to get the people who read our original story (2M people) engaged, becoming content creators themselves, pushing the project out.

What we are doing: releasing a cinematic story over two weeks and orchestrating an internet response to that story using astroturfing, several dozen social media accounts, influencers, etc. to create immersive theater over the internet.

We want to understand better what works to get things trending, how to hack virality, and have someone help our team build retargeting and funnels into our project.

Thanks all!
