Tumblr will now allow nudity but not explicit sex

Tumblr has made an update it hinted at in September, changing its rules to allow nudity — but not sexually explicit images — on the platform.


The company updated its community guidelines earlier today, laying out a set of rules that stops short of its earlier permissive attitude toward sexuality but that formally allows a wider range of imagery. “We now welcome a broader range of expression, creativity, and art on Tumblr, including content depicting the human form (yes, that includes the naked human form). So, even if your creations contain nudity, mature subject matter, or sexual themes, you can now share them on Tumblr using the appropriate Community Label,” the post says. “Visual depictions of sexually explicit acts remain off-limits on Tumblr.”

Took them long to realize that good old tumblr was 95% porn anyway. However in several articles they refer to only "artistic nudity" as being allowed.

Notably, explicit content, such as sex acts or “content with an overt focus on genitalia” are still not allowed. This kind of explicit content, often in the form of .gifs, was common and popular on Tumblr before it was banned in 2018.

still have really good traffic, similar web says 230m visits/monthy
 
PPl already moved on with other better platforms.
 
No, they need to just go back to the old days, but still, its too late, people forgot this platform.

I don't get why they couldn't just allow porn to stay on. Porn is something that can be monetized with ads, as evident with many of the major tube websites having advertisements.

I guess they didn't wanna be labelled a Porn Blog Network. Also, if i can remember correctly, the ban likely had to do with the Tumblr App being temporarily removed the iOS App Store because CP passed through Tumblrs Filter and was publicly available.
 
Tumblr is a peaceful place if you are on a right blog, i have visited many Arabic people blog and trust me they are real good.

No, im not using any software. just check the like of a car picture or any beautiful scenery, you gonna find alot of good blogs which have re-blogged that picture or licked that picture. just go on their blogs. you gonna find alot of beautiful things.
