Glad I saw this post. Was looking at using plimus. Looks like moneybookers or 2CO is the way to go.

another good reason to stay away from them : ( thanks for letting us new plimus users know

To me, plimus is good. Just follow their TOS. Many notable vendors sell their products through them.

they even suck dealing with them fuckin assholes

All payment service providers are sh***************T. PayPal Plimus whatever

I bought with them before. All worked out really good.

Plimus is really good. I am using it since a Year and didn't find any problem.

There Costumer service is really good.

Plimus has my seal of approval. If your selling shit don't expect your account to last anywhere.

yea, let me update ...Plimus Paid out today for our team..Far from a scam moral of the story is. If you selling crap with a bunch of disputes, they won't pay you period, but no merchant account will pay you if you have a bunch of disputes.

I was going to use them but this thread has put me off a bit l think l will stick to pay pal

loooooooooool of course they are scammers, it just they hire expensive lawyers (which lie) and which protect them....... but in the REAL world its called "LEGAL FRAUD". They are "allowed" to take the money from you due to "risk", what utter bullshit. But the REAL story is that they just want the money keep it gain interest and you get nothing ah for 180 days due to "chargeback".... and that is technically illegal..... BUT they say its for "risk". If you really believe that paypal, amazon and plimus want to "work with you" then my friend you must also believe in unicorns. They also do not exist unless you are in a UK court which they DO exist.........

Come on people WHO knows that he claims 120000$ in "paypal" you seen this for yourself? Maybe he boasts? WHO KNOWS!??!!!!!!! its the internet I can say "paypal suspended me with 200k" and etc etc.. WHATEVER BS story! looool.......... dont trust anyone online and dont read these comments, and remember people as the great greek socrate philosophy said "An honest man is always a child"... and remember always question people!

Based on your definition then PayPal is also a scam (froze $120,000 of mine because they could and they had questions about what I was doing). ANY merchant account will do that. It's not a scam. Scam is fraud. Plimus is not a fraudulent company.

I totally agree that their service sucks and their manual order review is terrible and their ordering process is archaic. I would never use them personally. But they are not a fraudulent company.

I'm not trying to protect Plimus. I don't like them as a processor. And they have plenty of unhappy customers. And plenty of happy customers.

I've had accounts frozen with significant amounts of money by both Amazon and PayPal. In both cases I was irate. I both cases I felt like they had no right to withhold *my* money.

And, in both cases, they have policies and procedures in place to protect their business interests. I don't agree with them. But that doesn't make them a scam or fraudulent. It makes them a poor choice for certain people.

Also, in both cases I eventually resolved the issue and got paid. As UtlimateSEO mentioned you will probably have the same result if you do what they ask.

And, in the future, don't use them again. They suck.

Same thing. For unexplained reason they held back my $3000 with no excuses. I tried to write to them for days, no reply. Chat support referes you to email. I can't believe how low they behave to people who is making them money. And let me say, I only sell real software, no funny money, gambling, porn, cheap Pdf eBooks or other illegal stuff. - And furthermore their fees are more like 25-30% when you sell in other currencies. First they use a ridiculous exchange rate to convert from Euros to Dollars(you lose 10%). And when you get the money to you bank converted back you Euros there's another 10% missing + the usual 10% to their commission.

That's not true. I have a refund/dispute rate of 0.6% but still got account reviewed. And I only sell HQ software. No PDF ebooks, porn, gambling or other suspicous stuff.

I am using Plimus for last 3 years, but not facing any issue, everything is fine and perfect.

Plimus is shit, don't waste your time... Go with 2checkout or similar.

You will get your money hold back if they decide to do it, no matter what your product or website looks like. And they judge your account validity according to your number of sales, where if they are not making a lot of money with you, they will take the money left in your account and dump you.

I heard similar cases happening to others that they are scamming some of the accounts and taking money.

200$ is a lot if they does similarly to 100 accounts they will have $20k easily.

There is no proper payment processor, at least in this case paypal would have been better in providing customer service but they are shit.

If freezing legit businesses account with all the money for no real reason is not a scam then what is?
