I know its not exactly what you asked for but here are some of my observations over the past 6-8 month using SER and a few other things.
Out of the IMers I have on my Skype, I was the last to use SER on my sites and it was working ok until last year, I don't know anyone sucessfully using SER to rank sites now with most people having moved onto PBNs, Outreach or Paid Traffic. IMO Penguin 4 going real time has added something into the algo that totally turns link juice off from domains that go offline a whole bunch like the majority of the ones SER posts to.
In addition to this, it seems auto generated content has taken a hit too. I'm not sure if this is due to rank brain developing over time, penguin 4, Fred or something else but my money pages using auto generated content in their tiers have either not moved or fallen over time compared to those using 100% human wrote content climbing with a small number having not moved. If you are paying $2.5 for a T1 article then theres no point using SER to post it to a domain you don't have 100% control over as it can get deleted by the web master, the domain can be rolled back to before it was posted, the domain can get deindexed, the domain can go offline totally or it can go offline sparadically due to increased bandwidth requirements from people posting to it using automation.
Although my SER use has been minimal on sites for a few month with a focus more on http://forum.gsa-online.de/discussion/22990/2017-link-building-information-from-website-magazine/p2#Comment_147762 rather than mass automation, I decided https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/journey-growing-a-money-site-network-to-10-000-a-month.928309/page-29#post-10467196 having dropped the mass automation side of it a few month before that. I still think building out bridge networks has potential, and yhttp://shaunmarrs.com/?s=self%20hosted&utm_source=blackhatworld.com but Scrapebox has the ability to add media to your posts and host it on your own sites as well as post your content in the correct category making it much easier to make your bridge network/PBN domains look legit.
Although I have been deleting my rank tracker/analytic projects for my SER based stuff over the past few month as I give up on the domain, here are some screenshots of the rank tracker data for the three I still have, the deleted ones looked the same...

Some of my PBN, BN, Manual web 2 domains do have SER on the T1 with a select set of engines to try an help with anchor diversification and increasing the referring domains to my pages but most of those links are already dead so I have no current plans to go back to doing that.
woooow nice case! i will save offline version and print it and put it next on my bed
could you elaborate more what is "bridge network"
Regarding this case study: Manual Web 2.0, PBN, Bridge Network - 100% unique human wrote content.
Can you please say what is the difficulty of the keyword, number of search results, the number of words in the page that ranked, as well as how many web2.0 were used and the type of PBN used etc.. ? Just some details in order to better understand the work required to make it to page 1 right now.
Thank you very much. This is the best/most useful journey thread I have came across.
Thanks for the quick and detailled answer. I will check the links.Regarding keyword difficulty, you could ask 10 different people how they rate the difficulty of a keyword and get 10 different answers. I used the keyword research method I published for these initial keywords though. This post in my journey thread shows the SERP positions for the above keywords as well as search volumes, I will be posting my update for November tomorrow. The number of words changes per page, with these keywords I was running with my theory of getting the word count for the top 10 results for my keyword, adding it all together, dividing by 10 and adding 500 but I have moved to aiming for 2000-3000 for the batch after this and they seem to be behaving very similar. The PBNs are from three different suppliers but one is now keeping all his domains for scaling, another is MIA leaving @Nargil as the only one still selling domains. They are a mix of auction and scraped domains and I do my own checks to make sure they are exactly what I am looking for.
so the former SER guru and advertiser of the black hat crap is giving up now?
Dude... every single post from you is a piss contest, 99% of your messages are either insults or calling others "gurus" or "stupid"so the former SER guru and advertiser of the black hat crap is giving up now?
No wonder all his journey's threads are blatant failures.Dude... every single post from you is a piss contest, 99% of your messages are either insults or calling others "gurus" or "stupid"
Can you please explain what kind of content, the length of the articles in the Web20s as well as how many Web20 links did you create for each of your money pages? Thanks in advance Shaunm
So when you use that service do you send him unique articles that you get written elsewhere? It does not seem like the service provider is using unique content for the web 2.0s.500 words of human wrote niche relivant content, costs about $2.50 per article but its getting harder to find people at that rate. I use this BST service for my web 2.0s, you can get 10% off your orders using the coupon 10shaunm at the checkout. The number of web 2.0s changed depending on the money page but I used a minimum of 10 and then went up as high as 60 depending on the number of PBN/BN links, all web 2.0s are do follow.

So basically, you are submitting the articles to existing properties with a link back to the money page if i understand correctly, because it says web2 submission and not creation. Because I thought that you were creating small web20 properties (4-5 pages per site) and then filling them with content and linking back to your money page.
Do you have tier 2 and tier 3 links that add more juice to your web2 properties or is it not required? They are fresh accounts with a single submission on them that links to my site. I tried using 5 x submissions in the past but the retention rates didnt change much so I went back to single post properties.
