TL;DR: If you see banned members with a custom title saying "BANNED FOR SPAM/FAKE REVIEWS", we are investigating all these replies and the sellers will be contacted.
In the meantime, please DISREGARD any of these posts when you are making a decision whether to purchase a service.
So... the new forum has given us some sparkly new tools and I've had the opportunity to test these today. As a result, you may see a large amount of marketplace replies where the user's been banned and given a custom title.
We've made multiple cross-checks against the people who have already been banned. There has been overwhelming evidence of them posting fake reviews or being part of a spam team to boost post counts / sell accounts. All banned members are given information on how to appeal if they wish to.
HOWEVER - this isn't over. We've banned over 50 accounts today - there are at least 25 more accounts showing evidence of spamming, multiple accounts and fake reviews. These are being investigated and as soon as we have enough information, they will be banned too.
There are also several sellers on the marketplace that will find their sales threads shut down in the next couple of days and will be asked to provide evidence of ALL suspicious reviews.
We're determined that our marketplace services are trustworthy and every member can make an informed decision knowing exactly what they're buying. Marketplace reviews are now far more stringent and we will hunt down and remove fake reviews. It's an ongoing process and we need your help.
Please report any marketplace threads you suspect has fake reviews or is being bumped by fake accounts. If you receive a service that does not match the seller's promises, submit this to the shitlist forum so we can deal with it.
If you know of anyone selling or buying BHW accounts report it! If you've bought a fake account recently, we can now spot this. If you come forward before we go through our records and help us track down the members responsible, then we will take your help into account.
ETA: Just realised I nearly missed my only opportunity to legitimately use this:
I know who you are. I don't know what you want but I do have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired during a platform upgrade. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let the fake accounts go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will ban you.
