I have a new website about travel and holiday topic. On this website I will be writing articles about travel and holidays topic.
My question is, can I create a subdomain such as "blog. mainsite" and on this subdomain, I will be sharing all sort of topics, especially sharing viral stories and videos on YouTube?
Will this have any negative side effect (in terms of SEO, Google ranking, Reputation, etc..) on my main website?
The reason I asked this is because I have seen many online stores selling a particular product niche, and their subdomain blog is about viral stories on all different sort of topics to drive traffic to their main website store. And they seem to be doing pretty well on this.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
