Plagiarism + Months of Work

I'm doing a blog related to engineering. Since the blog is not ranking well, and the AdSense rejection, I checked the plagiarism of my articles.

I wrote all the articles myself, but when it comes to definitions and advanced theoretical stuff, I had to rewrite them. Now it shows 20-30% of plagiarism for some of the articles.

The site has around 50 articles, and more than 10 articles have more than 1000 words. I know the word count is not enough for a blog to rank, but the best authors of the field have rewritten 100 words for some topics. So, I have to spend 6-7 hours reading all over the internet and textbooks, and write the article.

The domain age is 10 months.

Now, I have two options,

1. The first one is I should all the content of the site and update them.
2. The second one is I should forget about the domain, and start a new site with my rewritten content.

On your experience, what is the best for SEO. Will Google give me a second change?

20-30% plagiarism in some niches isn't as much as you might think. Think law, for example. You can give your 2 cents on them, but you can never rewrite a law or part of a law. With that being said, if you can rewrite the other articles to not have that plagiarism percent, I would still continue to take advantage of 10 months of age for the domain. Especially seeing that you probably just got out of the sandbox and are at least starting to see your articles on page 2-5 of Google.

You're right. My articles are on page 2 and 3.

I contacted a SEO expert and he says that the problem with my blog is link-building. Since, it's even difficult for me to find time to write articles, I couldn't dedicate sometime to write guest posts. Now, I'm gonna rewrite my all the content in a much explained way.

No the content. Why rewrite article. Instead put something of your expertise on main site. Connect it with relevant news on SM and put curated news or related content on PBN or web 2.0. Add your voice to it for humans.
There is huge evergreen market to connect main stream media with the masses. Also the more you update your. So adding content on PBN not add to your database as well and the PBN becomes more authoritative.
