I would like a $15 off coupon if possible. Also, I would like to ask your opinion. Do you think 10-15 links to a keyword/article now sitting in the 4th place are safe and good to fight for the first three places? The keyword is low to low-medium competition.

Coupon sent nicefor! The answer isn't a straightforward one because is depends on a lot of factors. They keyword may be a low competition itself, but if they sites that are ranked at postions 1, 2, and 3 are strong, well established sites, it could be difficult. Also, the strength of your site is a factor. If it's a long standing site and has authority, post content regularly, good site structure, internal linking... then you stand a better chance. Also, your backlinks profile affects your ranking. Having a good mix of types and quality of backlinks is good, and having a good diverse anchor text profile helps as well.
