PS - There will not be a discount available for the time being, but we do have some very cool upgrades coming out in the near future.
Ubot studio might sound ok, but you must learn how to "code" in it and from that point everyone starts to notice the bugs - crashing of app, skipping of code mysteriously. Isn't it just easier to hire C# programmer? =/
Anyway if you can't afford programmer, go for it. Good software![]()
letterman,
Your purchase includes 3 months full-time support for a monthly fee of only $9, which is NOT required. You can also get a discount by subscribing for six months or a year.
We also have never charged an additional cost for a new version upgrade - ie, UBot Studio 4.0 only cost users of 3.0 that monthly fee of $9. We plan on continuing this practice.
Seth
I was thinking of buying Ubot until I saw people claiming that Ubot executables can be decompiled and offering services to do so.
I'd hate to spend time and money building bots to sell and then have em hacked.
What say you Seth?
Can Ubot be decompiled?
Thanks for a quick reply as I want to make a decison this week.
Seth, how will you be announcing the new Ubot update? Email? Ubot Forums?
Hi Seth
Thanks for responding.
The interesting thing about Ubot to me is the Mysql ability BUT it's also the most worrying as if the bot gets decompiled so the db access string becomes available which could/would be bad news big time...
What do you suggest to your customers to do to protect it and what are you doing to protect it?
Have you considered including some form of encryption at all?
Thx
you can get additional plugins that encrypts certain text in your code or additional software that encrypts the whole of your code or simply enter DB password every time it loads if its just for your own use or if its a commercial bot send it encrypted from your server so its never stored in the bot source code. There's plenty of ways to do it just depends what your bot is going to be used for, jump on the forum plenty of people on there who will help you out.Hi Seth
