FontNirvana seems rather expensive to be honest.

Some of the major things that are different:

1) Some of the fonts there dont have all the glyphs.. Most dont allow commercial use. All our fonts allow commercial use + only fonts with all glyphs are provided
2) You need to open 100's of pages to see all fonts. There is no paging in our system
3) There is no sorting option by weight, thickness and italics angle. So you can set the parameters now on the left hand side and just find the right font in a matter of minutes.
4) They have only ~10k fonts. We have over 120k fonts!
5) Once you download a font they dont create a history of all your fonts downloaded in the past. We do so that later on if you change your computer etc you can just login and download all the fonts again.
6) There support does not exist. We have a very active support.

There is nothing like this in the market right now. The main thing you need to understand is when creating a logo or something similar people spend hours trying out different fonts so that they can find the one that is "just right". People are willing to pay $250-500 for there logos on design99 .... keeping that in mind how much time would you save when creating a logo with fontnirvana. The answer is A LOT. I am a sales guy. When doing banners we try out 10 different fonts for the text on the banner and some fonts can change the CTR by almost 0.3% ... which is a LOT in Media Buy Industry. So that gives you an idea why fonts are so important and websites dont really do justice to the proper professionals who are really serous about there conversion rates and saving time designing there content.

We dint expect selling on BHW from day one anyways thats why we are giving it for free initially so that users "understand" the value of what we are selling before buying.

Ripping off from "google web fonts" and downloading fonts from torrents will hardly add anything to cost. I googled for the font which i really like and found it for FREE !
