Maybe its my eyes or correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't there suppose to be a space between " with" and "friends"?
I got two advertising banners done and both were outstanding! Then I was so happy I got him to make me a header for my game site. I've added a screen shot so others can get an idea how good he is.
Overall communication was smooth and timely, I'll be getting more work from him again!

Yea, I just got some stuff done, waiting for the delivery of my cards. He's been busy but somewhat responsive. Hoping to start a partnership here in a while and make things better for everyone.

Ordered from Adam despite the bad reviews. He was very responsive until I sent payment. Now no response. Sent ultimatum email this morning, if I get a response today I will post here and let you know he completed the job. If not, I will post a scathing review.
Easy job too, simple logo which he promised in 3-6 hours, that was 3 days ago, and a video which would be due today.
Any bets on whether I hear from him or not?

Refund sent by OP. Only because I posted here I suspect. Until I send those emails he was not responding to multiple emails with request for updates.
Had originally promised 3-6 hour turn around time. At the end of that no response to email requesting status. Sent another email the next morning, no response. Another that evening, no response. Finally a response stating he was starting on it immediately (something I've seem in this thread repeatedly) and apologized. Then no contact again that evening, no response to two more emails.
Sent email this morning stating I wanted my product or a refund. No response. Put the above post here on BHW, got an email back stating that "because of my email, there is no way he can finish my job."
Give me a break.
Seems like Adam is young and unorganized. He had requested I send a deposit of half of the total immediately "because he has a bill to pay". Should have been a clue. You have several people in this thread either requesting work, or requesting work they had already paid for and you need my money to pay a bill? Not good.
If this were a lawn mowing business, I could take a day or two delay on the job being completed. No harm, no foul. I however, as many on here, have clients with expectations and deadlines. When you accept my work and give me a completion time frame, then ignore me completely, I look bad to my client and could lose the account. Not acceptable.
Maybe wait a couple of years until you can grasp the importance of being true to your word.
I would not order from Adam, plain and simple.
If anyone knows of a reliable designer that will answer emails and complete jobs on time, please pm me contact info. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the review John. Again, here is the reason I sent a refund. I don't take threats from my customers:
"Either send my products today or I will write the worst review on the thread and initiate the refund through paypal myself. I don't like being ********ed with.
I can also rank for any term in the world, so your business name, facebook page, real name, I can come up first for all of them with my reviews.

NOW a response, because he had something to lose. here's the response:
"Hey sorry got caught up today, working on your logo now, but if you want to cancel just let me know i'll refund the paypal right now..."
My response was:
"na, if you are on it I'll chill, just keep me updated dude and we have no problems"
and again, followed up with no response. So sent this message:
"goin to bed. any update?"
Then, again, nothing.
This went on for the past 3 days. So, you guys see, unless threatened this guy won't even respond to your emails. He figures he gets to use your cash for a few, and if you bitch enough he can send a refund.
That's it.... Take from this what you will. I am sure he'll respond how it wasn't his fault, his grandma died again, his computer crashed again, it was my fault, something.

Whatever John, most people, when dissatisfied ask for a refund and thats it, they get it. Threatening to use your roxxorz seo skillz really isnt the way to go about it. Again i'm sorry i didnt complete your order in time and wish you the best of luck with your project.

First , it was the only way to go about it. You don't respond to emails from someone who has sent you money. That is stealing. In the real world, you find someone like that and kick their ass, and take your money back. Online, we have to have some other sort of recourse.
What I don't get is why you pick here to come and pull this? First, do you see how understanding and accepting the community is? You've been pulling this sh*t since the beginning of the year, and we are still willing to give you another chance. Then, you do that same thing you pulled before.
Having seen this in business hundreds of times, my suspicion is this:
You have a skill set. You don't have much work experience, have never really developed business ethics and values or made much money. You find BHW, or any other forum, and put up a posting. People like your work, business rolls in. At the start you are on top of it because you enjoy it. The potential is great and you are exited.
After a while it starts to wear off. You miss a deadline, you miss getting back to someone. You start to realize that this is a real job, for real people who count on you. You start to self sabotage so there is not as much pressure. You miss deadlines, miss responding to emails, don't do projects all together sometimes.
People get mad, start to flame you. Email you. Call you. Place paypal holds. People are mad and it's never a good feeling to have someone mad at you.
You stay off BHW for a while. Your thread dies, life returns back to normal. But then you need some cash. You come back on here, get a few clients to send you some bread "to pay a bill" and begin to remember that they are taking this seriously, and you really don't. So you start ducking them. Then it starts all over again.
So stop the deflection, and stop the "I am sorry" crap. Don't wish me the best of luck on my project because you are the one who has thrown it off. I was counting on you, and you failed to deliver. Don't try to gain sympathy back from the people on the thread because you apologized.
Quit coming on here until you are ready to take something seriously and take advantage of your talent. Until then, go play DJ.

Hey guys,
I just got my work completed from Adam and I must say I'm super impressed with what I've been given. I'm not gonna lie, it did take a little longer than I originally wanted but it's not like he was just sitting at home watching TV and ignoring his business. He had some personal stuff that needed to be taken care of (family first). I can understand John Dough being upset because he was working with a client but I will tell you I was heavily compensated for my waiting and I would gladly do it again for how bad ass my site turned out to be.
If you're thinking about ordering a banners, landing pages, etc. Adam is definitely the way to go if you want a unique design. The best part about it is the cms platform it uses with built in WYSIWYG editor's that makes it simple to embed video,images,text,page titles, etc. You don't have to edit the html in any way.
I will be wrapping up my product soon and launching it here in this section of BHW and you will all be able to see the website he designed. (very unique)
Anyways, if you're thinking about using his services but are on a tight deadline I would just let him know you're on a deadline and ask if he's too busy to have it out in time.

Man he must have done something real special for you to get you to come post a good review to bump my bad ones.
How in the world can you be happy after a month and a half? Imagine going to Wal-Mart to buy a TV, paying for it, and them not answering calls or emails or letting you in the store for a MONTH AND A HALF to get the TV you already paid for.
