Yeah clutter, thats where the real cash is. Obviously I have my own spin on it but the poster has made posting on gumtree a total breeze.

Hmmm, can you PM me that exact vehicle city&category so i can examine? The one with manditory fields issue and the one where you get 'Unknown error'. Uknown error usually means if page is unavailable, doesn't exist, or gumtree is doing something (ghosting vicious ads) - what does you 'Errors' column in Monitor say?
You can PM me on all and we'll go from there.

All my ads are ghosted - i posted 69 ads, on dialup, it took ages!
I was using a catchall forwarded email address, all random names ending with my .info domain, are they banning none yahoo/gmail domains??
EDIT: ive tried with yahoo.com addresses gmx.co.uk, changed phone number... tweaked everything, its smegging annoying.
When i get the email confirmation and you click the link, it just displays the city page that i posted in, no advert. If i click the link in the commenter screen of the software it just displays a white box. Any ideas?

Gumtree is getting so saturated because of this bot! lol good work guys...
exactly what im scared of too but then im not ewhoring currently but more ads on gumtree also means more visitors to gumtree from search engines and could be a win-win for us and gumtree

Total nonsense, if ur doing this right you should be blending seamlessly. Heck I have used 1 ip for 400 ad blasts and the ads last over 24 hours. Gumtree at the moment don't even notice something is going on, to be honest they don't care. I've watched the forums closely and people are reporting and reporting and the mods are just deleting the emails and carrying on. They like the amount of traffic that is coming in and have the most lax security online. If ads are getting ghosted you must be doing something wrong:
Some of the basics on why noobs may get ghosted:
1) Putting ghost words in your ad copy like horny, sex, f**K,breast blah blah common sense that these will be filtered from the system.
2) Having an email address that's obscene (hopefully this is obvious too, come on)
3) Same email address (or email addresses, make sure uve set up a variable and not just put [email protected])
For a limited time, if you wanna send me over your projects I'll see if i can figure out whats wrong. Kimkills u can get me on msn messenger [email protected]

None of that applies, as i said i used a catchall address, and then individual emails, i'll have another play around later though. Little offended by the n00b comment
I reckon Gumtree will implement captcha's within a few months to "help cut down on spam"

Lol sorry kim I wasn't directing that at you just a few peeps who have been in touch have put 3 or 4 emails and asked 'if that's enough' lol. When I'm blasting 400 ads at a time no lol. Like I say if you wanna fire over ur project ill have a quick look. At the moment I'm not having too much trouble with ghosting, how many different ad copies do you have? Yeah I imagine they will but tbh they already planned to do it but like I say the guys who are running it are a little lazy.

Just purchased and installed the full version today and done some very small scale trials - all looks great, thanks for a good product. I have a feature request for the Flats & Houses for Rent/Offered entry screen for UK GT. On the GT screen there is a tick box in the Tell Us About Yourself section that says 'Are you acting as an agent' which I need to tick. An example is here http://kent . gumtree.com/cgi-bin/add_posting.pl?posting_cat=4163
Please would you include this option in a later release to save me having to manually edit each ad once it has been posted? Thanks

Shine, are you using proxies(private)? hidemyip?
We've discovered something today... private proxy support doesn't work when hidemyip is installed !!!
Uninstalling hidemyip, private proxies should work after restarting the system.
First we though it has something to do with windows updates, some new virus, etc.......
Don't yet have a solution how/if you can use both on same system.....

Hi Dpalat, thanks for the lightening speed of the new feature 'Acting as Agent' - so you have got me on a roll now - I add one picture to the post which I would like to select at random from a list of 3 or 4. Can a new feature be added that allows the random selection of a picture from a list of pre-defined ones when the new post is created? Thanks a bunch!

Mate, im using Hidemyip. Ive got no private proxies. It always the same "image upload failed" error message, Like I said before I can post ads without images fine, but I only get 1/4 of the responses I usually would if I had an image attached.

Just curious as to how many people are blasting URLS in their ads? I didn't do it as I thought they'd last 5 minutes but how are people finding those kind of ads fare?

Hi Dpalat,
I have a further feature request for listings in the Property section. It would be useful to have a radio button next to the 'date available' drop downs that offerd 'post using today's date' so that all the scheduled posting jobs I run over the next month will have the date shown in the listing as the current date, not the date I selected when I set up the project. Thanks.
I also have problem when posting to the category Services - Property and Shipping; it occures both for Stoke and Hull towns (http://stoke.gumtree.com/stoke/13339_1.html) the posting engine reports 'page unavailable'. Please advise what I should do. Thanks.
