This looks like just the ticket. I'm a lazy ass brit who turns about $500 a week from 1-2 ads every couple of days on gumtree so this could just make my regular income. Is there a script with it to reset the DSL after posting for changing IP? I'm not really tech savvy when it comes to posting and I'm not sure how strict gumtree is. Can you blast 20 unique ads out on this thing with different emails etc and content and have it stick even if the same ip is used? Can someone hit me up on msn: [email protected] or YIM:TBAXTER3000

yes you can change your DSL ip by using external command.
Commands:

IPCONFIG /release
IPCONFIG /renew

yes you can send 20 ads per day (same IP), no problem.

I'm ready to post but now all I want the poster to do is make use of my catchall email. I just want it to create a random [email protected] for every ad, how do I input this. I don't care about it auto activating I can do this myself, i just want it to create email addresses

First, setup some variables (Repository->Edit variables.txt), like:

$Names={nameA|
nameB|
nameC|
nameD}
$Nr1={0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}
$Nr2={7|8|9}

Then, in Ad form -> Email adresses(es) use something like:
[email protected]
This would produce something like: [email protected]

To enable auto-activate, use forward on your domain for all emails of catchall account to some gmail or yahoo account. Then line would look like:
[email protected] [email protected]:_p_a_s_s_

Thanks timmy, I wonder if someone would be good enough to create a basic app that can generate random numbers or words followed by the |, must be straightforward enough. Ie if i put in 077 xxx xxx then the program will make tons of randoms replacing the xxx, and be ready to shove into variables.

On another note, tried this last night for the first time, blasted 90 ads, have 700 responses today and 4 $40 sales. You are my gods! I am so excited, I'm gonna try other methods alongside this!!!!

Editing this post as I tested using the format:

[email protected] and it worked a treat as did 07$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1 for the phone number and $Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1$Nr1 for the password. No ghosting, all live

12 sales today so far so over $400, this program has made my week

in my experience:
- If your IP is English gumtree will try to post
- unless you're using an email address that's been flagged multiple time (I use gmails so can't help there)
- if someone flags your ad, THEN it seems (in my imaginative mind) some human has a look to see whether they can associate it to other ads, using not a lot of DB searches (lazy). so, the easiest thing for them to look for: ad title, email address and name (body is a long string and any type of variation searching makes for long boring waits in front of DB for lazy webmaster). I used to think postcode but no more.

last ad I posted, I had 30+ different names! it's not that hard to do - just use nested ones, (feed this headline to GTP on preview mode and see):
{{{hey|yo|} {let's|shall we|we have to|we {truly|} must} {hang out|chill out|meet up|catch up} {{anytime|} soon|this {week|month|fortnight|year}}}|{catchup|meetup|meeting} {you and me|us two} let's {do it|make it happen} {{anytime|} soon|this {week|month|fortnight|year}}}

= this here has over 100 possible titles, all with the same general meaning.

also, your number thing should be working. i even randomize the password just in case they keep it in plaintext on their server and the webmaster decides to be happy, same for name, last name etc.

Yes, that would create a strange looking, but random email like [email protected] ...then again, you can do the same with letters...

Much can be done with repository system, an example to get some ideas:
Variables:
$letter={a|b|c|d|e|f|g|h|i|j|k|l|m|n|o|p|q|r|s|t|u|v|w|x|y|z}
$LETTER={A|B|C|D|E|F|G|H|I|J|K|L|M|N|O|P|Q|R|S|T|U|V|W|X|Y|Z}
$Nr={0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}

Then $letter$letter$Nr1$Nr1$LETTER$LETTER would produce something like: aw52TH

Almograz gave a very good example of using nested tokens. Another trick is presented there - {anytime|} - this means a word 'anytime' would sometimes be shown and sometimes not.

Hi... Just a few questions (we bought this over on dp, pretty good so far, and I like the software!!! just trying to iron out a few issues). The first is the urgent one really I guess!

Firstly, Auto activation doesn't seem to work, what we did:

we put an email address (like for example, [email protected]assword) into the password field, but it doesn't auto activate the posts... could it be that we are using yahoo.co.uk, rather than .com? - We have 50 yahoo.co.uk email addresses, so I really hope thats not an issue!!!

Secondly, the $ variable in the price box asks for a numerical (integer) so we can't for example have $price in the gumtree price box to spin the prices.

Thirdly, with private proxies, for the username/password info in proxies text file, @ between the password and IP number doesn't work - but full colon ) does. (it says use @ in the notes)


Finally- In anonymous proxies, a space symbol doesn't work as a delimiter between IP and port (it says it does in the notes)

2. I'm not sure i understand, but you can create random price if you want with variables, use for ex. variable $Nr={0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9}, and then in box type $Nr1$Nr1$Nr1. This would produce a random number (from 0 to 999).
3. Hmmm... this format should be working: myusername:[email protected]:2020. The format you used, with full colon, does not work - at least it does not setup proxy, then it goes direct connection and you see gumtree ad page and all with your IP. Maybe if you're using winXP, your private proxy may not work, this is an strange issue we're working on also... private proxies work now with no problems under Vista.
4. Yes, that got screwed up somehow, when adding/fixing/upgrading proxy support(s). Will fix.

- YAHOO new webmail page support added/fixed
today:
- 'Turn off proxy when uploading image' option added (Options->Gumtree). Turns off proxy before uploading the ad image. When done uploading, reverts to previous proxy settings. This can be usefull when having trouble uploading image, using (private) proxies (this way, image upload issue hopefully fixed?)
- on project load, image was not loaded/disappeared (also this might have been the issue when using images)
- auto-activation for alternative Yahoo&Gmail accounts fixed. Poster did not recognize for ex.: '[email protected]' as Yahoo account, and '[email protected]' as Gmail account :smashfrea
