Penguin is so fast? or its just me?

I'm beginning to believe Google is not only devaluing many of the tried and tested link sources, such as Web 2.0s, but they may be tanking sites that contain a large percentage of these in their backlink profiles. I'm doing my own testing, and from what I am seeing it is not looking good for backlink profiles mainly with Web 2.0s. Further analysis needs to be done, and I wish others would share their tests with all of us.
