Does Google penalize mother sties attached to buffer sites that recieve SPAM links?
I want to build GSA SER links to buffers and social links. Pretty sure G is smart enough to penalize though

i did this about 3 years ago. absolutely zero impact on ranking. it might have worked 5 year or way back.... but not anymore.

let me know if you end up getting a different result.

Waste of time.....with will have 0 impact......i remember the times when you could spam the shit out of a bit.ly link and rank like a motherfucker.

You should actually avoid any kind of spam, not just for a penalty, but it won't give any kind of results most of the time,
Focus on lower quality tier 2 links that should at least get indexed and point them into HQ built web 2.0s and you'll get better results

Do you use any tools for this like RankerX or GSASER?

yup, these are good to go,
just make sure to get some decent content (expired article & limiting spun) and a good list for gsa

any recommendation for lower tier2 links?

It will hurt you in the long run if it's a more serious authority project.

It helps most of the time in short term projects where your goals are more focussed to get some cash in quick time just like CPA stuff.

You can use Rankerx & GSA,
make sure to use a good list & content as well as a good indexing method to get the best out of link juice

lol always funny to read that on a blackhat forum and then under the "Black hat SEO" subsection :D
a good well built PBN is purely blackhat and far away from being spammy in any kind of way,
spam is simply less guaranteed, while it works in some cases, it won't in many others and it's not something to fully rely on for a good project

a PBN is still part of a spam campaign. i do PBNs since over a decade long before it was even called like that.
however there are tons of different ways to spam the serps and its all blackhat. why post in the blackhat section that spam is bad? then go to the whitehat section if you dont like it.

Which spam is within a good PBN,
It's a bunch of websites built open expired domains commonly with genuine links, with decent content, design, etc...

We're basically referring to different types of spam,
Purely spam links won't get you anywhere today as they do get barely indexed in the 1st place,

Also, referring to black hat vs white hat stuff is pure nonsense,
Most of the off-page SEO links are purely blackhat, this goes to anything from buying decent genuine links such as guest posts going down to GSA shitty links & different kinds of links that won't make shit,
what we should take into consideration is the quality not the old bh vs wh stuff and as long as links/pages/websites do get indexed and rank, spam can work, but anything below this is a complete waste of time

still the PBNs are usually built just to be used as backlink source. unless you use them as direct money pages too (which i personally prefer).
anyways its still kind of spam as you create multiple sites with the intent of using them as backlink source only which is basically spamming the serps to get yourself an advantage.
as far as automated backlinks go, well it depends how you do it. you can still use them for ranking. its just a matter on how you do it.
sure if you spam default targets like anyone else it wont much other than help with indexing maybe, but if you find your own platforms and scrape lists of targets not everyone spams then it still works to rank.

thx for the info

The spam score passes along with the link juice. It's better to not mess with your T1 links.

It's funny to read discussions about what spam actually is... Many SEO's consider themselves as whitehat and are even selling linkbuilding campaigns as pure whitehat shit even to larger established brands...
If you would ask someone from Google... They would all be called blackhat...
