Penalized to Page 10 after Scrapebox & SENuke Fest

True - when you are steadily building links and getting close to "the top", the drop like that is actually a good sign - even though it doesn't feel like it at the time. (makes me want to go search out a really tall bridge).

Don't stop building links and it will bounce back better than before the drop.

I have had the same problem for about 8-12 weeks now.
Originally had a site ranking on page 8/9.
Blasted twice with xrumer 10k and 20k ... direct to my money site.
Site went from page 8 - page 6 - page 4 and best place was top of page 2 ... (i was like a pig in sh*t .... so happy)
Then .... THEN ..... site started to drop .... and sat on page 10 for about 8 weeks.

Now the site has moved a little and is at the moment near the top of page 8.

not sure what G is doing and if it was a result of my xrumer blasts? but unlike the comments above i have NOT seen my site come back and doing better. Still atleast it is not deindexed.

Oh, site was like 10 years old.

Many links, too fast for an old site.
Keep backlinking at ~ 200-500 Xrumer links/day.
 
your site may be penalized by Google.. please start doing link building but this time manually with relevant comment
 
Good news! I just checked rankings for the keyword I was penalized for. I'm now back to page 3!! Thanks to everyonefor telling me to just continue link building. Hoping the new ranking sticks! :)

I am just a n00b with a few sites, but I also first panicked when I saw my site to go from 5th position on first page to .... 35th page after a Scrapebox blast! I even wrote to G00g13 to ask them to reconsider my site, only to find out less than a week later that it came bact stronger than ever!
 
what about blasting and letting Google find them naturally?
 
Hmmmm fascinating for sure. I have noticed with one of my sites, the very same. From page 5, heavy SENuke and Scrapeboxing to two outer tier Web 2.0 sites, and blasting DIRECT to the money site, I moved nicely over two months to page 1 within top 3 spots, then all the way back to page 5, and slowly back to page 1, then page 2, then 1, then page 2...Talk about dancing. Im seeing movements each and every single day on google, like 5 positions here and there up and down like a yo yo....I presume at some stage, the site will be screwed and drop like a stone, or, it will rank nice and high and stabilise.
 
I'm running 400-600 confirmed comments (low OBL auto apporves) per day per site on two websites. One is 12 years old and the other almost a year. Been doing this for two weeks now and will keep doing it for the foreseeable future.

The old site was already top 5 for all keywords but is now #1 or #2 for 80% of my key phrases. The newer site, not much happening. I figure it will just be a matter of time.

I'm just hoping that G is looking for consistency. I haven't pinged them but thinking about pinging the links in batches of 1K. What do you think?

you already have succes with that ranking and to ping it now is just stupid i mean keep on doing what you are and you seem to have find the best way to use scrapebox correctly which isnt easy .:) the other site will probably start to move around soon ..but remember to check rank every day to see even the small movements and if some is happening if nothing happends then blast 20% more.
 
just some input from me, ive found that blasting with xrummer direct to my money site and letting G find them naturally has served me well.
I supplement this with my own web 2.0 pages with unique content so you get bulk links as well as quality links.
If in doubt just blast it harder, will be getting more blasts in coming months, im trying to maintain a decent level of consistency slowly increasing that level up.
what can i say, works for me
 
@dumpyourfile, Looks like it only took you 9 days to bounce back. I hope I'm i the same boat. Its been about 6 days for me so far and i'm still on page 20 through 28 for my terms. I'll keep you guys updates on my progress.

One thing I think that helped was do a 9000 comment blast to random pages on the money site with name anchor texts (instead of keyword). I also changed the TITLE tag of the pages to "free quick brown fox online" instead of just "quick brown fox" and "forced" Google to reindex that page.

Let us know when your site comes back so we can put a day-range to this flux phenomenon :)

i went from page 12 to 6 to 5 to 3 then bang!!!

Back to 10.. I sat there for almost a 10 days. I stopped major blasting and did some light posting...

I have about 18 keyword variations for my site.

5 are ranked in top 50 (25,29,31,34,47,49)by other urls in my site.
6 have returned to within top 46 (27,29,34,36,37,46) rankings
7 ARE NOT IN TOP 50.. WTF!

I definately got a penalty but am worried about the other 7. Shlould I do a blast on those 7 that haven't shown up yet?

Any advice is appreciated.. Thank you

Start manual submissions and try to get pure back links which will remain on your site.. make sure it is relevant and genuine..
 
Checked the SERPs just now and the site's back to page 12. Not panicking at this point. Will still maintain 75% link building volumes until the ranking stabilizes.
