PDF Backlinks

One of my competitors used the weirdest PDFs for his/her backlinks. Their site went from 3K monthly visits to 12K visits in a month according to SEMrush. When you click on the PDF, it goes to a weird ebook, not in their niche. The title of their website is in the URL and not in the PDF.

Anybody know how they are doing it and how much value is a PDF backlink?

There is no way because of one PDF backlink your competitor gaining huge traffic. There are a lot of factors will be considered without having sufficient data no one able to identify how your competitor is getting traffic.

If a competitor suddenly starts ranking really well it's probably because of a PBN with ahrefs etc. crawlers blocked. Not because of a PDF...

I don't do any of this for backlink purposes simply to get my content out to more places and more peoples eyes on it. I Think It Work Also.

Pdf Backlin Works! When you take pdf backlink form pdf site its add some value because pdf reader read the pdf and go through the link to know more. Sometimes I Also need some data and its forcing me to click on the link, only for knowing details. So it depends on the Quality Pdf backlink.
