PayPal troubles

Everyone hates PayPal and so do I!

Now I got this account with fake name with $175 on it. It has been quite a traumatic sequence of events for it. First it got locked as I logged in with a IP from another country, then they asked me for verifying address, changing password, security questions of which I all did. Additionally they wanted me to verify my credit card, and this is where the chaos begins. I added 4 VCC's, of which none I could verify. As doing such I reached the maximum limit of credit cards allowed, and can now not add any more cards.

I called them regarding this and their solution is that the account is now permanently closed and they want me to upload 4 copies (1 from each corner) of my ID or passport and then they'll send over the money to a new account that I should open.

Now as the account is in fake name, I probably won't be able to get 4 copies from each corner of a fake passport so then comes the question:

Should I tell them it's a fake name, what will they do then? Anyone told them they had a fake name account before?

Telling them it's under a fake name isn't going to help you; I can absolutely guarantee that will only make your life worse.

Since they say it's closed you probably can't, but if you can still send money then make another PayPal account, send the money to it, and then withdrawal it. If the account is completely locked and you can't send funds then you might have to call it a loss.

Edit: At some point, I think it's 180 days, they might send a check off to the address on file. If that's also a fake address then yeah, you're basically boned.

I'm not able to manually send the money, but as I stated after they seen the ID they'll send the money to another account, maybe I somehow could ask them to send this without showing the ID.

Guess I'll just tell them it's a fake name!

Get someone to do photoshoped passport copy. You might get lucky with slim chance. Never know.

Honestly Barrage? Do you really believe that throwing yourself at the mercy of PP will achieve anything?

Why did you use a fake name in the first place? I use combinations of my name or alternatively, relatives' names.
Maybe you should just chalk this one down to experience and, in future, withdraw/transfer your balance before it reaches an amount that you can't afford to lose.

Sorry this appears so negative, but you took a calculated risk in opening a fake account and, on this occasion, it has back-fired on you. Live with it and move on would be my advice.

I think you should tell them the truth, and tell them it will never happen again, Hope they will fix that. I faced this kind of trouble before, and really it works for me.

It's $175, so just forget it, move on and use real name and details next time. You will waste so much time trying to solve this, with probably 0 effect, that it isn't really worth the $175 you have there...

Are you sure that after 180 days I can transfer the money to ANY bank account, even tho it's a fake name?
